One of the best sushi places in the Southington area. The sushi is fresh and the special rolls are so pretty, creative, and full of flavor! My fiance and I recommend the Paradise and Snow White rolls. We look forward to coming back soon. ??

Stopped in after receiving their menu in the mail. Gohan is definitely one of those hidden gems with a menu you can work through and love everything! The food was excellent, prices are perfect and the owners/staff are very nice. Their bowls and sushi will not disappoint !!

Family owned and operated Japanese cuisine. Super fresh, home style, quaint restaurant located in a plaza. It's tucked away but a gem... food is prepared to order with special touches. Chef prepared sauces in house... they strive to provide an overall enjoyable experience. Everything is bright and clean as well.

Since they opened, I have been to Gohan Sushi a dozen times. The reason it took me so long to write a review? I wanted to keep this gem a secret. The owners, Will and Rachael, are so sweet. The place is cute and modern. Perfect for a lunch date or carry-out. The sushi is the freshest I’ve ever had. The presentation is always gorgeous. Will is always creating new special rolls. He is an amazing sushi chef! Thanks to Gohan Sushi, I cannot and will not eat sushi anywhere else!

Excellent sushi. Chef creates new and unique rolls. Be adventurous, try their suggestions. You will be very happy. I must return. So good!

What a great experience I had there. I didn’t want anything spicy and the chef made me a beautiful arrangement of salmon , avocado, rice with mango on top.The owner was very attentive to my pleasure and was so hospitable. They even named the enter after me- the dom wrap!!!!! Awesome place!! I live in Hartford area and will come here just to go there again. So fresh!!!!!

Came here over the weekend for the first time with my kiddo, and we now have a new favorite sushi spot. Super fresh, very unique types of rolls, things you won’t find at any of the other local sushi spots locally. We were greeted in a warm, welcoming manner. Only thing I’d recommend is that they provide the rubber band wrapped chop sticks for the kiddos since we don’t always remember ours. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

Holy mackerel that was good sushi. My wife and I go pretty much everywhere that sushi exists and I would put this place up with the best for sure. It’s completely unassuming, but the food is on point.

I love this place.Half dozen times and it just never disappoints.Traditional and modern choices. Bowls too.Very well prepared. The price to quality ratio is outstanding. I honestly don't have much of a favorite as I make my way around the menu.I love watching new people come in and try various offerings and not feeling intimidated like many other restaurants.OK, I really like the spicy crunchy tuna roll....

Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had!
