The 1st time we dined at Cava, everything was spectacular. Our 2nd time for a Valentine's Dinner was very disappointing. The service was Poor & food was horrible. Poor menu selection with over priced options. We waited about an hr for our meal, by the time they brought it to our table it was on the colder side. My husband ordered the steak, which they over cooked & had to return it, I ordered the fish, which I wouldn't recommend because it was mushy. When we received the bill, we asked for the manager to take out the steak & he was giving us a hard time because it was included on a fixed price. So he wanted us to pay for a steak that was returned. You can also hear other dissatisfied customers making complaints about the overcooked food. I give it at least 2 stars because we got great pictures, however with a high price tag. Would not recommend Cava to anyone. Well decorated for great pictures & to get the experience but Cava is not a place where customer satisfaction is their 1st priority, food is a disappointment.
The atmosphere was beautiful & loved Harry Potter theme! Waitstaff was friendly & attentive. The bread arriving wrapped in a napkin, cold & hard. I order the ink squid pasta with mussels & seafood. It was just ok, no real flavor & pasta was mushy & drenched in the sauce. The waiter added $38. To our bill by accident & promptly removed it once we brought it to her attention.
Takeout for Easter. Worst meal that I ever had. Similar response from other family members .
I’ve always had great food experiences here. The ambiance is incredible, my friend and I have visited twice for Harry Potter dinners and had such amazing times sitting here laughing, eating, and taking it all in. Definitely an experience to be remembered for sure!
Give it 5 stars for decoration and staff. Food was ok. Surf and turf was $56. My lobster ravioli was cold and steak was not properly seasoned. Not that food was bad but I guess I expected more for $56 for a single dish. Desert was awesome. Not sure why did they put so much cinnamon on cappuccino. But the decoration and staff was awesome. My 4 year old had a great time
First time here. Early birthday celebration. 6:30 reservation on March 5 for two people. They placed us at a table for two in the aisle next to an enormous statue of Pegasus which wings took up half of our table. We were bumped and shifted by waiters and waitresses as well as incoming and outgoing patrons all evening. Waitress was nice but hurried us to order our whole meal 5 minutes after sitting down. Soup, Salad and Entrees all arrived at the same time in about 10 mins of ordering. No time to enjoy each course,AND our drinks still hadnt arrived until 30 minutes into our visit. ordered a piece of white coconut cake for dessert to celebrate the birthday and it was at least a day old and very stale. Food was just OK and arrived hot but everything was cold by the time we could eat all of it at once. I give this place two stars for the decor. It is implied by their website that it is fine dining but it felt very "chain-like" as if we were at a restaurant in downtown Disney. Our bill was $200.00 dollars before tip. We love to experience new restaurants and don't mind the expense if it is worth it. Do yourself a favor and don't fall for the hype. I would've been happier spending $200 at our favorite local place with an excellent bottle of wine. Even the decor was trite. The two stars is for the work it takes to decorate. My next $200 is going to a local mom and pop who actually care about their patrons. Horrible experience.
Cava is a great place to experience at least once in life. The best part of this experience is the aesthetics of the restaurant. Each room is beautifully decorated and reflective of it's theme. The servers were friendly and provided excellent suggestions. The food and drinks are pretty good, albeit a bit pricey.
We got there on time and were seated quickly. It was 5:30 pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was already packed. The decorations were as beautiful as I've heard they are. Every room is decorated to the nines. It's truly a sight to see. Our waiter was the worst you could ever imagine. He came to our table pretty quickly and asked us if we wanted a drink as he handed us our menus. Can we look at our menu? We both ordered an "artisan" cocktail and water. It took 20 minutes to get those. The drinks were THE WORST drinks we've ever had HANDS DOWN. I don't know what the heck they were made from. Something sour, for sure. I can't even imagine how you could drink them. My friend sent his back. No thanks. We still didn't get our water. We ordered our meals. Duck (good!) and side dish (not so good) and Salmon (good!). We ate them. Our waiter did not come back for at least half an hour to pick up our dirty plates. When he finally did, he dropped the entire tray of drinks he was holding on us and our table. Dessert was an Oreo pie and it was good. I'm certain that it wasn't made there. Likely brought in from Costco or another distributor. People all around our table were very pissed off and talking about the horrible service. Many said they would never come back. I felt sorry for our waiter and we ended up giving him a decent tip. Maybe it was his first day. He seemed overwhelmed. Instead of the restaurant's focus on turning tables, they should focus on good service!
My husband and I went to Cava for the first time for Valentine’s Day last night. When you drive up the decor they have up for Christmas is beautiful on the outside. When we arrived the front staff acknowledged us right away and were pleasant and upbeat. We were seated right away (highly suggest reservations a month out) and were seated in the first room. We had a table right next to the walk through to other rooms so there was a lot of traffic back and forth which for us was a bit distracting because it was so busy. The food was absolutely DIVINE. We got the mussels and a salad for appetizers and the mussels were mouth watering. I ordered the lobster ravioli and my husband ordered the pasta dish served in a lobster. Everything was made from scratch and the depth of flavors was incredible. The only suggestion I would have for the grilled lobster tail on the ravioli is to de-shell it before plating because it was a bit difficult to pull the lobster meat out. And for dessert he got the butterscotch cheesecake and I had the Godiva chocolate mousse cake and both were incredible. Overall the service was quick, the servers and hostesses were upbeat, timely and very friendly, the environment was beautiful but very busy, and the food was incredible. We traveled about an hour to Cava and it was well worth the drive and the price tag! Highly recommend for a great date night!
It’s the Catfish of restaurants. The highlight of the night was the homemade ice cream shop we found on the way home. Do yourself a favor, and find a different place to go. Please. I never write reviews for anything, so please take this as your sign to pick somewhere else. The food quality is truly pathetic for a restaurant that has the audacity to over-charge guests who attempt eating their food as well as charge the ones who don't. To be clear, three of us were seated, and three entrees were ordered. It was so obvious nothing was made fresh. Neither of the meals were above room temperature. My friend's "fine Italian"dinner (chicken parm) was equivalent to a "hot lunch" at elementary school. It was sitting under a heat lamp for so long, the cheese on top was in one solid piece. It was sent back, and she did not ask for a replacement. Then the waitress returned with the plate reheated because, if it wasn't eaten, we would be charged $25. Yes, we would be charged because their food made someone lose their appetite. The manager came by about 15 minutes later, tried to make the waitress look bad, and brushed us off completely. If their rooms didn't appear so instagram-worthy, this restaurant would be out of business. Without a doubt. But, if you're still intrigued by the decorations, the prettiest part of this place is the front lobby. The knockoff swarovski decorations aren't worth it. For the love of everything still good in this world, DO. NOT. GO. TO. CAVA.
