Price Gouging!!! I picked up 2 orders of sushi and asked to pay for a tiny side of spicy mayo. They charged me almost $2 for the smallest container that I usually pay $0.50 for at most! Never coming here again. Would rather give my money to businesses that are not greedy.
Hunan Pan moved from an old restaurant behind Daddario’s car lot and moved to a smaller location on Bpt Ave Shelton , I have to say the food is better than ever , we had Chicken Lomein , Sesame Chicken and Tempura Shrimp It’s the best I’ve ever had . The sauce was lite and fresh and the flavor remarkable! We loved it can’t wait to go back ?
Overview:Little hole in the wall Chinese/Japanese restaurant with a nice selection of dishes. The staff is welcoming and extremely attentive to needs/questions/etc. We've had take-out and dine in from this place and it has been delightful both times.Food:- The food selection they have isn't as extensive as your typical Chinese restaurant, but they make up for it in the variety they have as they combine Japanese dishes on the menu too. Your typical Chinese food isn't nearly as high quality either!- The prices for the food seem a bit higher than you would expect ($17 for General Tso), and although questionable, the taste of their food is good.- Dumplings are great, so are the noodles. I had somewhat expected better tasting chicken in the Udon, but the rest was really good.- First time I've had sushi was at this place and is worth trying for sure, they have a very interesting selection of fish and combinations and all seem worth a go. Sushi is an acquired taste so you'd need to figure out what you like!Service:- Everyone seems to have a smile the whole time and are immediate to assist or help with anything you need, no time is wasted!- The staff is patient and willing to address any questions you have quickly.Atmosphere:- While not upscale like a hibachi or high class Chinese place, the booths are nice, comfortable and they also have a bar!- There is a selection of Japanese beer and traditional drinks.Overall, Hunan Pan is a great place for a mix of Japanese or Chinese food that is higher quality than most standard Chinese restaurants with a bit of upscaled price.
Extremely small dining room I was placed in. Had about 4 different servers help us and only one was professional and didn't appear to have an attitude. Food was nothing special, and in my mind not worth the price. But their food has gotten better since years past.
Stopped in for a quick lunch at this quaint little eatery found by chance. At first blush it was obvious they do high traffic takeout business mid day which given the over abundance of other restaurants in the area, says a lot. This place was spic and span, no blemishes to be seen anywhere. Lots of sanitizer was on hand, face shields and masks were worn by employees and partitioned socially distanced eating options ruled the main dining area. The staff was friendly and quick to assist There appear to be a large number of Chinese and Japanese selections on hand with a nice variety of sushi options, always attractive. Time was limited so a quick lunch box with beef teriyaki suited just fine; the beef was sliced over vegetables, Tender with a tasty teriyaki sauce, accompanied by white rice, a bowl of miso soup, salad with ginger dressing and shumai with a tangy dipping sauce. Last but not least there were eight pieces of California roll specially prepared without the cucumber. All of the Food was fresh, attractively presented and tasty— notably, there was very little time between ordering and receiving the food which was appreciated Nice little place, great selection, clean as a whistle and clearly appreciated by many visitors
Best sushi you will ever taste! Menu has large variety of selections! Don’t eat sushi? That’s ok there is Chinese too that will knock your socks off! Everything is super fresh and made to order. Owner Joe is very friendly and goes out of his way to please! Sake is top notch! Martini menu is ??! Give them a try you will not be disappointed. They also have a room for private parties!
Great Chinese food. A little pricey but large portions & very good service, for both take out & eat in. Friendly s
Being new to the area we asked locals for a recommendation for Asian. Lots of people said go to Hunan and they were right. Good sushi, dumplings, egg rolls and General Tso chicken. Reasonably priced.
A really nice sushi place with great food and a very helpful staff. Looking forward to my next meal here!
Awesome. I ordered a boat and it was immaculate. Very good service too!
