The food was good but the restaurant needs clearer pricing on their menu options. There is no allergen information because the server said "there was a language barrier so they couldn't be sure about ingredients." I would recommend visiting because there is no other restaurant near by that serves Latino food that is this authentic and delicious.
My husband and I have been to Catano's three times now. The food is the best Latin food in the area - hands down. I always get the pernil and their muduros - they are both the best I've ever had. This past Saturday evening we brought our friend from RI and we got to meet the owner. He was so happy to have us and treated us like royalty. Again, the food was superb. She got their new addition to the menu - lomo saltado. I had a few bites and I think that was the best lomo I've ever had as well! My husband got three different tacos and said they were all terrific. There are tables inside as well as a newly installed outdoor seating area. Don't forget they have homemade desserts in the refrigerator cases - mango cheesecake and tres leches for the win. I highly recommend this wonderful, friendly restaurant and can't wait to return!

Great tasting authentic food with family friendly atmosphere. Felt very welcomed, portions were big and well worth the price. Pernil, tacos and ceviche were all great!
The food at Catano's is nothing short of excellent! Prices are reasonable and portions are very generous. I recommend the fish sandwich highly!A wonderful addition to the Shelton community!
Great food, great prices, great owners! Always a delicious meal, and you're treated like family when you're there. Everything we've tried is good, but our favorites are the ropa vieja and sliders. Awesome empanadas too!
