Amazing place - Delicious food and friendly, helpful staff. We each had the Broad Street Bully and split an order of plain fries. My wife and I were born and raised in Philadelphia, a.k.a. Philly, so we know a lot about steak sandwiches. Philly's, A Taste Of Philadelphia is truly a Taste of Philly. In fact, they’re much better than most sandwich shops. Don’t go as a substitute for a visit to the great city of Philadelphia - go for their great food! The steak was cooked p

Unassuming looking place from outside but the best cheesesteak in Connecticut. Outstanding fries too. I always stop here when in Norwich

I started this review before I started eating. By the love I was shown here and the customer service I would eat here even if the food was sub par. That being said I open my order up and I meant to take pictures for the review but the sandwich is so good I forgot to take a picture. A lot of people in our area have no idea how good a genuine cheesesteak is and they are used to the garbage that you get a chain restaurants. This place is as close to authentic as I could get without driving three hours. Incredible food amazing staff. Most business should dine here to learn how to provide the best quality and customer service. Would give 10 stars if I could.

Went there today. God awful. I order a steak and cheese sub. Fries and soda. 42 dollars!!! After the employee messed up my order and charged me for 2 subs (mistake they refunded me for a sub) they finished my order. Only get a sub no fries. Or soda. The employee then said I don’t remember you ordering fries. Are you kidding meeeee. Then I get my sub and finally fries. I go back to work. Take one bite. Take my entire sub. Roll it up and throw it out. Awful tasting. Soggy after a 3 min car ride. If I could curse on here. I would saying f in awful. Never again. Don’t waste your money

We stumbled across this little comfort food gem after a medical appointment at Backus, LOL. We shared a grinder and some loaded cheese fries. Let's just say I'm glad we don't live closer. This is def good food for those who don't need to worry about calories or for "the morning after." A bunch of local kids were coming in from school when we left. I'm sure they love it there. And oh—the wings were tasty too!

Love Philly’s, I’d not been to this location in about 15 years, since I normally get my fix when I go to Dodd Stadium. There a lot more space since the remodel in 2014. Ed’s passion has brought a great blessing to Norwich, 100% authentic Philly cheese steak sandwiches!

I don't know what happened but this place has gone down hill. It used to be so good. The sandwich we got yesterday was empty and sad. The meat tasted like it had been boiled and even like it was a different cut. Super disappointed. The staff was rude to boot. I hope they turn it around. This place used to be awesome.

Ordered the chicken cutlet hogie no Mayo or onions - get it home about 30 minutes away and had Mayo on the sandwich.chicken seemed to be pre bought chicken cutlets. Had too much lettuce and tomato, I didn’t even taste chicken on my sandwich.I would not go back to this place. Waste of time and money

I have been hearing good things about this place and finally made a visit on my way to the casino recently. I ordered the Philly with extra meat and a small fries. The sandwich was overstuffed and had plenty of cheese. It had good flavor as well. I probably should have done without the onions as they are hard to stomach for me lately, but I wanted the whole experience. The fries were decent but nothing to write home about.I was expecting it to be very busy at lunchtime, but it was not. The young lady who waited on me was very nice and helpful. The big question is if I would come back? I would say most likely yes as I have been exploring some area restaurants as opposed to eating in the overpriced casino ones.

Delicious and good customer service. They made a mistake on my order and they fixed it right away
