This place has been a favorite of mine since high school.
These are the best bagels in Norwalk. I wish more local breakfast and deli places got their bagels from these folks. We have tried bagels from all the local places and these are by far the tastiest with the best chewy texture. There is always a line out the door.
I have been here twice so far. Both times what I've tried has been better than good.The villager i had on wheat toast and even though I received it with no condiments it was still good.I also had turkey delight and I meant to hold the tomatoes but even with the tomatoes it lived up to its name. It had a good amount of sprouts, tomato wasn't soggy, and the herb and garlic spread was a great touch.I also tried their cinnamon buns, coffee cake (one of the best i ever had), and raspberry rugalach (sp?) and all were good.I mean pricing is high especially for the portions and sizes but it definitely is quality. The customer service leaves a little to be desired but not complaint worthy. I'll be back.
Great bagels, cream cheese, and breakfast sandwiches
I called on December 30th to confirm I could order catering for a New Year's Day brunch. They confirmed they would be open on January 1st. I looked at their website, where they have detailed lists of catering platters and trays, but with no prices ("call for cost"). I went in person on December 31st to get the costs and place the order. Everyone there seemed baffled by the question, "What are the prices of the catering platters and trays listed on your website?: They kept asking me which ones I wanted, I kept saying I didn't know which ones I wanted until I knew the prices! Then they changed course and told me to design my own order. I said I just want to know the prices of the already-designed catering items on their website. Finally they said I should just show up on New Year's Day and order what I wanted at that time. But not before adding this little nugget: "We might not even be open on New Year's Day, we'll see how we feel tomorrow." I haven't been to Village Bagels in ages and after this experience I never will again.
A little expensive, ceiling was very dirty. Their breakfast sandwiches were delicious!!! However, the pumpkin cheesecake muffin was yummy but fell apart when I tried to eat it! Overall good prompt service and good food

Best salads! Love the salad bar choices. Also that it gets mixed in bowl with the dressing.

Gave this place 5 stars a year ago and still love it. Staff is friendly, bagels are made fresh daily. Very good whitefish salad and egg salad.
