Taste like authentic Chinese food with hint of fusion. Super like for food quality. The ambiance is comfy with soothing music and warm lights. Must try - Sichuan style dumplings. You can customize the dumplings if you want. Pot dishes are something to try out which was delicious. Overall very good experience. Will definitely try again.
Great mix of authentic meals with modern twists! Super convenient location in the SoNo mall - perfect spot to eat before or after shopping. Loved the tempura shrimp w walnut, Peking duck dumplings, coconut curry chicken and salmon that were served in a traditional clay pot. Amazing friendly service!! Will be back again soon!
We went to Uncle Seven twice and it is likely to be the best Chinese fusion restaurant in Norwalk with quality ingredient, unique sauce, attractive presentations, and reasonable pricing. We tried their Peking duck dumplings, coconut shrimp, and lo-mien today. We were very impressed with the food, the decor, and the service.
I don’t review bad restaurants, good and excellent food need to be share so no negativity. Bad reviews words can destroy lively hood of a business. Uncle Seven deserve my review as they really have good tasty food and good qualities Chinese dishes. Why they are good quality? Their menu offer Gulf Shrimp ( and Angus Beef) which is wild caught not farm breed. Farm breed shrimp or fishes are bad for you because the farmer use a lots of antibiotics in their feeding to keep the fishes strong to avoid sickness and diseases.I had been to Uncle Seven for many months and finally write this review. Their lunch menu dishes make me coming back again and again. KG is our favorite server he really deserve my praises. Today in hospitality is very rare to acknowledge his service by offering before your ask attitude. Keep up the good work, KG….!Their salad are to die for as my wife love the Salmon chopped salad. Lunch price $14 for 5 piece of Gulf Shrimp is a steal…!! Oh, their dumplings are all house prepared, so delicious…!
All I can is wow! From the moment we walked in the man who is a waiter or owner was super rude and you could tell he was bothered. We sat down wasn’t friendly whatsoever. Next, the wings we ordered for appetizer still contained blood inside! Super red! Then, my entree comes and I toppled over my white rice over the broccoli and shrimp and there was a black long hair that was resting at the bottom bowl of rice. I called the lady over and told her. She looked at me as if she was dumbfounded and told the mean waiter and he was dumbfounded too! Then she kept asking me why I don’t want another new order, and I repeatedly told her no! Once I see a hair I cannot eat from them. Well she didn’t take that well. She turned around and said who knows what. Lastly, my cousin was paying for her order and she didn’t even want to take her payment, so she told the mean waiter to take it. They never apologized either!I will never, ever come back to this nasty and rude place.Cut of my dining list for sure!
The appetizer was very nice, the pork dumplings were delicious. Another 40 minutes later and the food has still not arrived. As I am sitting here I hope someone notices how upset I am. I am going to my many friends on Snapchat and Instagram and letting them know where not to go when visiting mall. I am very busy and wanted to have a nice meal with my family. Unfortunately my Saturday seems to have gone by waiting in a chair seeing other people served before me and nearly starving. Did not charge for dumplings and beer so precious transgressions are somewhat forgivable

I showed the server and he seemed irritated.There was a hair right in the top of our white rice so we asked for a new one and he went and slammed it on our table.Maybe he was stressed out? I’m not sure but we really did not enjoy our dinner here.

BEST FOOD IN NORWALK HANDS DOWN. Staff is exceptional and food never disappoints. I visit uncle seven once a month and each time I go the food is just as good as my last visit. I would highly recommend!!!
Excellent ambiance and kind staff. Noodles and Cantonese ceramic pot meals are our favorites but everying is so good
