Birthday dinner for a friend
My boyfriend and I had a photo shoot and were hungry right after we finish. We found the spread through googling and thought hey why not try their brunch. We get there, the host/waitress just seem very disinterested like she didnât want to be there at all today. The drinks were good and our food was great. I would stay away from the biscuits though because they are bit dry on the top and bottom part of it but in the middle was moist! Overall, our experience was great, we would try this spot again. Hopefully their employees are a bit more welcoming and friendly.
We recommend Spread- the food was superb, the service was top notch and you cannot beat the location for a summer night out in Sono!

I actually didnât end up dining here because the host really seemed put out that I wanted a table rather than just sitting at the bar, even though I had a reservation. When walking in I passed about 4 tables that were partially shaded outside, and one more inside. I waited for a few minutes before the host wandered back to the hostâs station. He found my reservation, and then tried to wave me toward a bar seat. I realize restaurants try to do this with small parties, but if I wanted to sit at the bar I would not have bothered with a reservation. I asked if I could have a table instead. He kind of paused, then took a very cursory look outside, and pointed to one table right in front of him that was in direct sunlight. I said ânever mindâ and left. There are other reviews on here mentioning the host (ârudely seated,â ânot very friendly, âhost was unfriendlyâ) as well as on Yelp (âthe host has a reputation for being rudeâ âvery rude host,â âthe host was awfulâ). It could be a great place, but I may never know because the host made me want to leave immediately.
Wonderful food, service and vibe. We sat outside near the fountain. The beet appetizer and halibut entree were fabulous!

This was our first time dining at The Spread. We had a larger party so made a reservation via OpenTable the night before. The food was great. Service was a little slow at times though I expect it was due to a large party who had rented the outdoor space. We will definitely be back.
The chartuterie was not what was advertised on menu. It had almost no cheese. Was very disappointing for the price
