been coming to this little gem for years ... we stopped in for dinner on a Sat. night at 8:30. the place was dead, it seems like they were doing only takeout. We stood there for 5 min. while 2 staff talked in the back like we weren't even there. We finally asked if we could sit down, and we basically got: if you want to, we close at 9. I was like: SEEYA. it was the opposite of a warm welcome. This never would've happened if their regular server (Lisa?) was there. I do realize Covid hit hard and they're doing the best they can; we were glad to see they're still kicking, but come on guys. I'm pretty sure I'm counted as an x-customer at this point. very sad to see, i must say.
Food is excellent I love this place. Very small and friendly. Feels like home when ever I eat here, they have a good vegetarian menu.
Amazing food! We come here a lot and everything I have ever ordered tastes incredible. It feels like you’re eating a home cooked meal made from natural ingredients. It’s very cozy. I don’t get that icky full feeling after eating here that I get from eating at other restaurants. Great and plentiful choices for vegetarians. Best spot in Fairfield county!!! Really nice and attentive staff, too. Thank you!! Lots of love and gratitude for this restaurant?
Stay away from the Lime Restaurant in Norwalk!!!! When we called to ask about all 4 orders that were completely messed up, the NEW owner Patrick WAS extremely rude and ignorant. We repeated the order 4 times to him and he hand wrote it down… the kitchen is amazing but this owner is absolutely ridiculous. It’s such a shame and so sad because the Lime was amazing!
I actually hate to write this post and I've never gone out of my way to write a negative post for anything but here we go... I have loved the Lime since I got my drivers license over 20 years ago. I would go so often that the waitress Lisa actually knew my order just by my voice when I called. I recently tried to place an order and was given the most unnecessary attitude by whom I think is the owner. I placed my usual order and I mentioned that I would pay in gift card when I got there. The man told me they don't accept gift cards and that I had to give him the number off the back before placing my order. I didn't have the gift card with me as I was in a store and they were in my car in a parking garage 2 blocks away so I said I'd just bring it in. He gave me such attitude saying if it's a year past the issue date they won't accept it. I have asked several attorneys and this is ILLEGAL! According to the state of Connecticut (see below for the statute) this cannot be denied, thus his actions being illegal. I am pregnant and was absolutely craving the wrap so I called back saying to put through my order and that I'd pay in cash when I got there... his response "I don't have time for that give me the credit card number." I was furious and we both hung up, I couldn't imagine giving business to such a rude establishment. I understand they have taken over new management and I also understand how hard it is to staff and run a restaurant during these times BUT it's unfortunate seeing as it was such a friendly and welcoming environment for so long. I don't foresee any business running off of this poor customer service and Moreso attitude by management. I've loved this place for 20 years but I will NEVER order from them again. Just for reference this is the law regarding any expirations of gift cards in Connecticut.Connecticut General Statutes Sec. 42-460. Gift certificate subject to expiration date prohibited. Honoring gift certificate reported as abandoned property. (a) No person may sell or issue a gift certificate, as defined in section 3-56a, that is subject to an expiration date. No gift certificate or any agreement with respect to such gift certificate may contain language suggesting that an expiration date may apply to the gift certificate. As another reviewer said "if I could leave a lower rating I would"
On October 13, 2021, I ordered a takeout sandwich. I had a gift certificate had originally been for $150.00 that I had used once before with a balance of $53 remaining on the gift card. The gift certificate was a year old and the remaining balance of $53 had been initialed by an employee of the Lime. A man that I think was the owner refused to honor the gift certificate because he could not find his receipt book from a year ago. The gift card is exactly the same as the gift cards he is currently selling and he confirmed the initials of the employee that had signed the back of the gift card for the remaining balance of $53 a year ago was someone who had worked there a year ago but he refused to honor the gift card saying it was "too old". I pointed out there was no expiration date anywhere on the gift certificate. The owner said his receipts for gift cards did not go back a year and since he could not find his receipt for the gift card he would not accept the gift card. I threw the gift certificate in his trash and walked out without my lunch. It is completely unfair that they took $150.00 for a gift certificate a year ago and now refuse to honor it. If I could give a lower rating I would.

Just wonderful! Everything. The staff, the food, the atmosphere!
My cousin was here earlier this evening and presented them with a $60 gift certificate that they refused to honor. We won’t ever be back!
