Great little patio restaurant with good quality sea food.
Kinda bummed after our first visit of the season. Host was very accommodating and sat us immediately giving us a choice of tables. Once we sat we waited and seemed like random servers jumped in as needed..not often enough though. Brought us water twice so we had 4 glasses of water plus drinks in the small table then we ordered the chips and salsa to start and received eggplant dip and when we told the “manager” as he passed he seemed annoyed and returned later with the chip/guac which was very average. The sushi was not up to par with past visits. Our initial cocktails were not great so we switched to wine. Honestly, I was kinda embarrassed that I suggested the restaurant to my dining partner.
Great food, music on the weekends!
Warm, friendly atmosphere - a welcoming glowing hearth enlivens the main room as you enter. Excellent service and we felt special with the attention from both the server and the Manager. The drinks were great and the food was spectacular. Glad to visit again soon!
Sails has a great staff, James and the team do a great job making you feel welcome and deliver an excellent experience. Great selection of food.
My aunt was celebrating her birthday, November 4th. She called the restaurant early on Friday. Asked about reservations for dinner that evening. She was told , no reservations required by the person answering the phone. She also asked what time the scheduled band ( a long time friend of hers was performing) was supposed to perform. They said 9 p.m.We got dressed up and drove there around 7 40. We walked in the front door and there was a second glass door yo the dining area. Before we reached that door, a short older gentleman was standing looking through the door at us and said to the younger man next to him . " Oh, they don't have a reservation" I found that odd but we proceeded in. I said, " hi , dinner for two" ? The older guy asked if we had reservations. My aunt answered , " no , I called today and they said none needed". He opened both arms and looked around and said " My dining room is full. No reservations, I can't seat you". I said , well we were told none was needed. He shrugged his shoulders again. He never said , like all restaurants do, there is a wait time, or anything. He pointed to the bar area which had no room and was crowded. My aunt mentioned the band that was supposed to perform, and he goes" oh you here for the , band, and looked at the bar area again. " A table might open up near the bar if you want there..At that point we stepped out the glass door then left.I called the restaurant the next day and the person on the phone said he would have the manager get back to me . Haven't heard a thing. We are both from the Caribbean.
We LOVE Sails!! My husband and I go for date night and we also go for family night with our 2 kids. They do a great job with kids and family’s as well as making it a great spot for adults to hang out. Great food and the service is excellent!! I highly recommend Sails all the way around!
One of my favorite places…especially on half price wine nights. They have a great bar where you can have a glass of wine and an app with a friend. Or a more formal dining space for family dinners. The tuna/avocado stack is my favorite menu item. And my favorite time to go is when they have a live band playing! Don’t miss that! Great crowd ?
The food was delicious and the portions were huge. Definitely recommend.
Good food - incredibly rude party of 20+ in the main section of the restaurant. Management/owner totally indifferent to the party destroying any ambience for other diners. He did give us a begrudgingly 30% discount on the meal. Sound proofing the ceiling might help. Tables are packed in. Gave It a second chance- will never go back. Awful experience.
