A great place for music a great place for delicious food and drinks fun for the whole family young and old come join them you’ll love the family
Ripka's Beach Cafe offers surprisingly excellent seafood dishes, with fresh, local oysters, lobster, and more. It's especially fun, too, during the summer, when there are concerts at the beach. Definitely one of my go to places!
Always a good experience. Really good food. Try the Duke! Had the tilapia tacos tonight. Perfect. We are lucky to have such a great place run by such a great guy here in Norwalk.
Been here a bunch of times since moving to Norwalk last year. Great raw oysters. Kids meal is a good deal. But the best items I have tried so far:-steamed mussels seasoned with garlic and herbs- maybe the best mussels I have ever had-New England clam chowder- big chunks of potato and bacon in it-maybe the best I have ever had (I like it loaded up like how they do it)-regular fries-kids Mac and cheeseThe only downside is the crowds on nice days.
Thanks for a wonderful summer full of great meals. Loved the burgers, crab cake salads fries lemonade; you name it.Thanks also for helping keep everyone COVID safe.Looking forward to enjoying the fall hours and music on Oct. 20th.
⛱ ?????Much more than just a beach food stand. A little pricey but they have a captive audience. All the food items on the menu are very good ?I've tried several food items and since then, only go for the soft-serve ?.Visited the last week of September,..they weren't open until 12 noon. An inconvenience for lunch break.
Great place to eat. They have adult signature drinks too.Can view the water while eating. Ot sitting on beach.
My husband and I ordered from their food truck at an event we attended last weekend. We paid a decent amount to be at this event which only was 3 hours long. It took 1 hour to get our food (my husband was only 3rd in line). Once we finally got the food, we went up to get some ketchup for the tenders we ordered and there was a long hair hanging from the dispenser so we just ate them dry. The food was pretty good so gave 2 stars but it really put a damper on things to have a third of our time at this event be spent waiting for food and then not even be able to be a condiment on what we finally received.
The Pandemic has played havoc with virtually every restaurant around. Three of us placed a lunch order at Ripka's yesterday, including two Caesar salads with grilled shrimp. We were informed right off the bat that they were out of Caesar dressing. We chose an alternative. 5 minutes later we were told there was no shrimp. No shrimp in a beach-side cafe?? We changed our orders. When our order came up, we noticed there were no forks. Fortunately a delivery truck just delivered forks at that point...otherwise we'd have had to use the knives like chop sticks! The food was fine...indeed, my wife's lobster bisque had at least 4 whole lobster claws inside.
I mean... Their fries are what I come here for mostly. They were always so crispy and delicious! The last several times I went they were SO meh. Soft. Not crispy. Not the same unfortunately. I wonder what happened? Make them crispy again ripkas! Please! Unless I can ask for extra well done and crispy!?But I wanted to try again and bring a whole bunch of my friends. Doors were locked, people all eating outside. I walked away thinking they're closed "darn", and when I went to check the hours they say they close at 9. But it was 7:09. So I called and a lady said "we just closed and we're closing early" ??? that was such a bummer. ??
