This was our first visit to Rincon Taqueria, and certainly will not be our last. Started with chips and salsa. Taste great, but only the first round is free. However I doubt a second round will be needed because the portion sizes here are HUGE. The fish tacos were the most regular sized item we got. Absolutely great tacos. Tamales were gigantic and packed with meat and flavor. These were my girlfriends favorite. And the pork burrito….man this pork burrito. Easily the biggest burrito I’ve ever seen. Might even be too big, to the point where it’s difficult to eat. Not really a burrito anymore once you need a fork and a knife. We saw the pictures online and thought, “really how big could it be?” Trust me, it’s gigantic. Wouldn’t order the burrito again, but will be returning. The prices are high but it’s a good value with the portions. Also everything had scallions on it which was unexpected from Mexican food
Most expensive prices I’ve seen anywhere for tacos in norwalk ($6) and the service was horrific. While I waited and looked at the menu for ten minutes - and was virtually ignored by the the female waitstaff (they were way too busy on their phones and talking to each other,) I watched two other groups leave before sitting down and eating. They were ignored and left. I was ignored and left, too.The idea that this place is rated highly for Mexican in Norwalk is completely laughable. I was excited to try it based on reviews, now i won’t waste my time finding out.Unbelievable
Delicious food excellent presentation and a good portion everything is good
Generous portion, friendly, quick service fairly priced. Burritos the size of your arm. Easy parking. No dogs .......
Finished up a hike near Norwalk and looked for our traditional post hike taco place. Cool Mexican surf vibe taco shop reminded me of Southern California places near San Diego. Wife got a couple of tacos and I got a burrito. My burrito needed its own car seat. Ridiculously huge and delicious. I took it home and ate it over 4 sittings.
A more modern taste to Mexican food, but not American style like a chipotle. Very flavorful.
The chicken tacos are awesome. My family came and we tried each other’s food and everything was serious amazing I was shocked. The salsa is the best wow. This was a nice small corner in the wall in my opinion but very fancy place for sure!
Delicious chicken al pastor tacos, beautiful and giant tamales, and their salsa for the tortilla chips was some of the best I’ve had recently. The first order of chips is free which is great! The restaurant is very cozy and cute.
Tasty & Friendly - found Rincon Taqueria on Google Maps as we wanted tacos for lunch after shopping nearby. The staff are friendly & engaging. The dining room is relaxing, comfortable, colorful, & plenty of natural light despite overlooking busy Connecticut Ave. Parking is conveniently right in front. We ordered a selection of tacos to go - chicken, beef, & pork. And we added a treat of tres leeches cake for dessert. Packaged well & still warm/hot by time we got home ~10 miles away. A side of multicolored tortilla chips came with order. An order of tacos(2) was just enough for lunch. Oh so tasty! And each meat choice had its own flavor. The cake was perfect - topped with whipped cream & slices of fresh fruit. Delicious with my coffee. We look forward to going back to eat in & have margaritas! See photo of Pork Tacos I uploaded. Note: handicap accessible via short ramp. Though ramp does not have handrails. Chairs & tables are movable if using wheelchair. And room to navigate thru front door & around dine-in area.
I came to the restaurant for a quick lunch, and it was outstanding. Service was fast and excelent. The portions and drinks are excelent price, for people who enjoy large portions i recommend the quesadilla and it was delicious and well-made. All in all a great restaurant and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys mexican cuisine and enjoys a quick and plentiful lunch
