On Route One near the Darien line. Take Exit 14 and go west about half a mile. It is on the right. It is a great trip down memory lane and an intro to the America of the Fifties and Sixties for youngsters. Big diner menu and large portions.
Forgot to take photos of the food but the bacon waffle (bacon pieces baked into it, with scrambled eggs and melted cheese on top) was tasty and perfectly cooked. My brother got the French toast deluxe which comes with eggs and bacon, and he enjoyed that as well. It was a little pricey, like $15 for bacon waffle, but so is everything in Norwalk.
Great place! We had a large group around 9PM and this place was packed, yet efficient! They had no issues getting our order out promptly, didn't make any mistakes, and our server was polite and personable!
My family and I Love Post Road Diner because they are so clean and there service is excellent. You need to try the Greek burger it's so good ?
Good diner. Good food
Great local diner, with specials and good food! The Cesar salad is top notch. Kids tend to hang out on one the left hand side, so if your an adult like who may want it to be a bit less noisey sit up front closer to the right hand side. The cook is great!
Very cute 50s decor. I had eggplant rolatini which were good, need more eggplant in them and 3 smaller instead of two large. burger quesadillas mostly tortilla not much meat or cheese.
This is the best place I’ve been to in a while experience was amazing great blueberry pies, brownies milkshakes you name it.? post rd diner has amazing people,
When I'm returning from the City this has been a light nite spot. Thrilled to find in open at midnight last Friday. It was busy and they were doing crown control at the door politely. We want the pandemic behind us!Always good and interesting eats cooked well. My friend had waffles with peaches, canned peaches that were a little tinny but this time of year that's OK. Waffle was good though.I shared a plate of rice n beans, plantains sliced like large fries, and scrambled eggs. It was a good facsimile of a Mexican type of breakfast and I enjoyed at in a almost warm March night in New England.
Went here as part of a quick family get away. Adorable classic diner, cute vintage decor, great food, very welcoming to out three kids under 7. Parent tip: they have those old sticker machines from the 90s in the entry way which my kids were delighted with lol. Amazing diner and I say that as someone from NJ, land of diners!
