Café Dulce is one of the first places I visited when I moved to Connecticut from Westchester. My neighbor invited me so we could get to know each other better and since then I have visited regularly bringing my spouse, children and my mother in law. The staff are friendly, the coffee is great and the pastries are out of this world! Always fresh and delicious. Whether you decide to dine in or grab a quick dessert Cafe Dulce will satisfy any craving.
Great quality service and food!Oatmeal is really delicious. The pastries are freshly made by a pastry chef. My favorites are the feta croissant, vanilla custard croissant and walnut roll. The coffee is freshly ground and tastes fantastic. I highly recommend the lattes :)
Crepes, coffee, pastries, delicious breakfast
As someone who has lived in Europe, I love the strudel, muffins, crepes, and panini, plus the fabulous coffee. I'm a regular for the soups because they make some of the BEST in the area. Our favorites are goulash (the owner is Hungarian) and the mushroom soup. Plus there's a beautiful outdoor eating space, the owner puts a lot of effort into the flowers and greenery. And PLEASE give him another chance, perhaps he read the reviews, but he's a lot better these days. I think he realized many people didn't get his NY-style snark (though my brother from Queens thought he was hilarious). Anyway, I think this place is a treasure, I'd miss it dearly if it weren't there.
The food and drinks are delicious here. Crepes, Egg dishes, muffins, croissants, coffee and Smoothies are all top notch. My fave spot with very friendly staff and engaged owners.
Great lunch take out at a quick stop. Crepes and pasta dishes take longer to wait. Crepes were generously filled with lots of cheese and chicken. Loved the avocado in it, too! Give ? to the quality! Strudels were not as good as I had expected but maybe it is because it is not my favourite;). For sweet crepes, I wish that they had something more than what they offer such as crème & berries filled and some maple syrup. Will stop here again on the way down and would like to try their pasta if we have some more extra time;). A nice surprise in a small town.
I had the breakfast croissant sandwich and it was out of this world. Literally an entire omlette on a flaky, buttery, fresh baked croissant. For only $8.99. I will definitely be back. Amazing quality for an unbeatable price. I cannot wait to try all their other fresh baked items too. They even carry my favorite cucumber lime flavored smart water. What a find!!!!!
An absolute gem of a cafe. Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, kind staff, and all at an unbeatable price. The breakfast crepe comes stuffed full of eggs, ham, and cheese. Classic coffees with some flavor options available. You MUST try their cheese puff pastry when you do inevitably stop by. I can only imagine the rest of their pastries are just as delicious.
Best Gulyás I’ve had in a long time. Perfect lunch on a cold January day! Nice selection of pastries with a lot of Hungarian specialties.
Great place for some early morning breakfast!!
