I very frequently order from here. This time it was disappointing. I ordered online small mac n cheese pizza, 2 ice cream with 2 apple crisps. On the same order, I also place an order for 1 pint of ice cream with caramel. When the order arrives, I receive 1 pint of ice cream, 2 apple crisps without their ice creams. I immediately call and say I'm missing the apple crisp ice creams, to which I'm told I'll get it delivered. I wait and wait. Close to an hour passes. Thus I call again. The guy who responds tells me I had already received my items, to which I clarify I had only gotten the 1 pint. He then tells me that he spoke with the manager and I will get my items. I ask about how long it'll be, to which he states "20 minutes". How would I know that I would never receive my items if I don't call a second time since he assumed that I received them? Who would let me know? Thus I told him something close to these words. I understand mistakes happen, thus the reason I called and stated what was missing. The restaurant is a paid service, to which I paid for my food and expect to receive for ALL my paid items.Addendum: I received the 2 ice creams a little later than the 20 minutes, which I understand. At that point, my annoyance was slightly higher from the waiting. Without sarcasm: thank you Jroos for correcting the issue.
We've been ordering/going to JRoos ever since we moved to North Haven 6 years ago. Whether it is steak sandwiches for my sister on the weekend, specials for lunch during peak Covid times, or the other day where we were celebrating my daughter's dance recital, the variety and quality of their menu is never outmatched.
Ambiance: 1/1Service: 1/1Food: 2/3Total: 4/5Great staff and clean establishment; however , the pizza wasn’t anything absolutely mind blowing, tasted the same as most local pizza places, but was still really good.
I only wish Google ratings allowed for a Negative 5 Star rating, because this place would certainly be worthy of it. Our first visit I figured they where having a bad Night. Our second visit we laughed and figured we must be having a bad night. Our third and very last visit we figured they must be paying people to pump up their 4 star rating because their is no way that anyone would gladly pay their hard earned Money for this sorry excuse of a Restaurant. Go to McDonalds, to a Chinese Restaurant, a Diner, and save your Money. I promise you that your experience will be a lot better than eating at this rip off joint.
Very nice place. The lady that took my order was great. Friendly, courteous and took my order in a timely way.also provided take out order menu.
Busy. Busy. Slow service. Kept asking for lemons for water and my glass is 1/2 drank Asked about seafood casserole and she didn't know because she doesn't eat seafood?? She didn't know the price as she will check the market price? And your a waitress?. Wow. I mean we talked but it was a 3 hr experience! There were 4 of us Celebrating. Drinks, appetizers, entrees a,, dessert, after dinner coffee and dessert were bought and you get charged for the 1 slice of birthday cake??. My local Vespucci's and Tiano's steakhouse does it. It shows class. The bill was over 250.00
Food is excellent
Next time I go I will be eating in because take-out wasn't worth it at all. I order just a buffalo chicken sub. The sub only had two cutlets. One on one half. One on the other half. Minimal sauce on it. I had to add more hot sauce. Chicken was dry. Barley any lettuce. Overall a pretty poor takeout sandwich plus the price was insane $13. I could of made a sandwich way better for $4. I suggest not doing takeout subs if ordering from this place.
Decent food. Was told great things about this spot so we checked it out for dinner one night and then lunch another day. Nice atmosphere- we had jroos meat lovers pizza, chicken parm. sub, fried dough with sauce, prime rib au jus and the Texas burger. Unfortunately I had higher expectations though. Not horrible experiences-but definitely not as great as what’s been told to me. Maybe it’s a pandemic quality shift like other restaurants? Not sure.
Unfortunate. Our family gathered for a quick bite before the hockey game. It took over 2 1/2 hours to get our meal, causing us to miss the whole first period of the game. Food was good. Servers seemed to make an effort- but we could tell there wasn’t enough help.
