Truly awful, awful, awful service. I waited at least 15 minutes to place my ice cream order at the window. The gargoyle who works there asks me if I placed my order, I answered "no I did not." He says he will be with me in a moment. So he proceeds to take the couple that came long after I did. When I asked him why he took them before me when I had clearly been waiting longer, he said something dumb like "they came to the window." Or some nonsense like that. So I told him "bye! I'm leaving!" Got much better Ice cream at Jennifer's on Main Street in East Haven where they don't treat their customers like garbage.
The Food was absolutely immaculate here I enjoyed the American Cheese Brisket Supermelt so much you have to order it with Extra Brisket Extra Cheese and No Onions it's even better than a Burger. The Waffle Fries with Cheese and Bacon on the side were so perfectly cooked and crispy. They still have all the signature sodas too which are great as always which I absolutely love. To finish things off I ordered a Large Reese's Pieces Sundae with Hunka Chunka PB Fudge probably the best Sundae I've ever eaten in my life. Overall I'd say it was worth the money it was pretty expensive but the food was second to none and I have to say that Friendly's is better than ever right now and more people should be checking this location and the other Friendly's locations out. They're doing some really really good food right now and it's worth going whatever distance to get it.
They charge prices different from those on the menu, Which I believe is illegal. Also a small scoop of ice cream with chocolate sprinkles is $5.00. The crock of chowder which was called large for $6.00 was the size of a small. The big kids meals had very little food and the Mac and cheese was old, clumpy and hard in spots. Service was misleading. A very disappointing experience. We will not be back.
I have been to this restaurant a couple of times and the service is always quick, efficient, and warming.What people have to remember is that we are still in a pandemic and labor shortage. Servers, manages and chefs are doing the best they can in these difficult times. Took my kids to dinner tonight. It's been a year or so since we've been to Friendly's, and we had a great experience. The food and ice cream came out quickly and was exactly what we had ordered. Our waitress, Jennifer, was a doll. She was efficient and didn't disappear for long periods of time like we've experienced in the past. She was nice and got our order just right.
I went to this location on 03/27/22 and despite them forgetting utensils on a to go which is minor and they are always busy but with Smiles on their faces and moving fast pace to keep customers satisfied!. I have to admit the way the MANAGER NICK WAS ATTENTIVE TO MY NEED WAS AWESOME. He’s a Great Leader/Manager for Friendly’s so thank you for having him and I wish every manager could be like him. Best customer service I give is to this location!!Even the employees were spectacular. From the time of them saying hello, How can they help to the him being able to make a customer happy!! This is my favorite restaurant now lol. Keep up the good work Nick and his team !!! ?
I come to Friendlys often with my family and the food is always good and comes out in a timely manner. We usually get the same waitress Jennifer, who is amazing! She is very friendly and always checks in to see if we need anything! I recommend dinning in and enjoy a delicious sundae!
This was my first trip to friendly’s in years. Didn’t love the food but our waitress was phenomenal! Destiny went above and beyond for our family. She was kind, patient, and accommodating. I didn’t like the pasta I originally ordered she took it off the bill and made sure my replacement was just the way I wanted. Destiny checked on us multiple times while we we there. Destiny was by far the best service we’ve received in a long time.
Hands down best place to eat! The burgers and ice cream were delish! The best part was our waitress, Brianna was amazing! Very friendly, always coming around to make sure we had everything we needed! 5 stars for her friendliness!
Destiny was great!! My group was a little snug in the booth we were put in, but she was nice enough to move us to a more comfortable spot without a problem!! She was very sweet, thank you!!
