We got a sausage and onion pizza, a cheese, and an order of calamari. I would've given 5 stars but the calamari was disgusting. the pizza was surprisingly good, especially the sausage and onion. The sausage was yummy and so was the onion on it.
Village pizza is excellent high quality food, I love their stromboli, you can tell they put great care and quality to their food!
I went to Village Pizza last night after I got out of work last night. One of the reasons why I went there is because online they are advertised as open till 10:30 PM and since I work nights it was the only place I can find open so I drove all the way up there from Plainville Connecticut just to get there and find out they close at 10 o’clock and because I ordered the pizza through slice I can not I get my refund for at least 24 to 48 hours.
Had a delivery order wings were so cold and hard to eat , and it had hot sauce on it which I didn't ordered had to throw most of wings coz they were just like refrigerated and so hard to chew, rice order was missing called for missing item, instead of refunding they offered me credit for next order... they still think i would order again!!!It feels like i lost the money ?Will not recommend for anyone
To JC and others who wrote bad reviews about Village Pizza...I know from personal experience that this shop is one of the cleaner shops in Newington...and before you write a bad review about a shop...do a little research before trashing a place!I have worked in the restaurant business for 30 years and here is a "secret" that someone who has NEVER worked in a restaurant would not know or understand ---- kitchens get dirty when it is busy!!!Also...I have dealt with the health department in Newington numerous times...and if you only KNEW how strict they are...you would keep your negative reviews to yourself!Believe me...the health department in Newington does not hesitate to shut down establishments with serious violations!As for the accusations of friends and family writing "good reviews..."I would highly recommend that you not make allegations you have NO PROOF of!Anyone that actually knows the owner...knows that he would never (morally) do that and his character speaks for itself...Bottom.. line...you won't meet a better guy professionally...he values his customers and treats them with respect...He would literally give you the shirt off his back...We are all struggling to stay open during these tough economic times...so maybe you should think twice before writing a review that would have a negative impact on their business!If you can't say anything NICE -- don't SAY ANYTHING AT ALL!!

IF you want your pizza to be delivered on time please do yourself a favor and order from somewhere else. I placed an order one day ahead for my son’s birthday at school. I specifically said the pizza needs to be delivered at certain time because that’s when the kids have their lunch in school. The pizza was delivered 30 minutes later with no valid reason.
I had initially purchased a party size pizza months ago and it was delicious! I thought this would be typical quality on repeat orders, I was in for a surprise entirely!It seems as though this establishment more so harps on the lack of halal food locations and if you become a repeat customer due to this they monopolize on this fact and quality quickly diminished! Besides quality, the charge verses the listing menu price and tax added differed multiple times despite ordering the exact same item(s) when I brought this to his attention his response was “materials are expensive brother, we haven’t changed the menu yet but are out new prices!”I in urgent need of a halal meal placed an order via Uber eats only to get a notification moments later via email that the price was changed reason being : customer added on additional request. There was no request of additions on my behalf, they simply add additional charges onto their items without rhyme or rhythm.On multiple occasions I will ask for a party pizza asking for the three included toppings to be placed on a single side. Every time the toppings become more scant than before!Please pay attention to Uber/ door dash/ online orders and the price changes which happen unannounced.Also pay attention to the menu prices and what you are actually charged.Taking advantage of monopolizing the availability of halal food to Muslim consumers is awful and a horrible tactic by Muslim owned establishments.Update:Regardless of Uber/DoorDash or any online delivery app the online menu prices on these apps should reflect the actual prices charged.Claiming a additional add on request falsely is against consumer protection regulations! Legally when an item is mis- priced in Connecticut and charged incorrectly the item is now entitled to be free of charge. Many do not know this law.For better consumer and customer relations you should alter the online Uber / door dash prices and remove outdated menus from your establishment.
