What a great Friday lunch treat. Wife and I shared the house special grinder. The cutlets and other ingredients are fresh and flavorful. The added vinegar provided nice tang. We're coming back. Oh the Google online ordering and payment was easy!
Great food! Sausage and peppers, stuffed shells, roasted vegetables and the rice pilaf were a hit! Large order was also properly delivered and hot. They had the order perfect as well. I highly recommend! Thank you.
We have been long time customers of this establishment. Today’s experience, will yield no further business from us, our business, & our family.I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich, only to be told after wrapping it to go, that I, the customer, must notify them whether I want it hot. Typically, the customer is asked of their preference prior to making it. Instead of remaking the sandwich, the associate placed the sandwich in the panini press, wrapped with the paper, & “warmed it up”. Although I wanted to just simply walk out, I paid my bill,& left the store. Upon arriving home, the sandwiches were absolutely awful. Sad to see how downhill this place has gone.
Good food, but my food is rarely ready when I order online and they give me an estimated time.It’s understandable if it gets busy. But for me to have to wait in line when I get there, explain I have an online order, and then to find my order and start making it once I tell them, defeats the purpose entirely.
Ordered a full tray of eggplant roletini for a party. Got rave reviews from all who tried it. Large portions very filling. Order ready when arrived.

Love the selection of sandwiches and daily specials at this bakery. The prices are super reasonable and the staff are usually very helpful. They even have breakfast sandwiches, that come on their fluffy hard rolls. Definitely a place to check out if you’re in the area.
This place is amazing. The baked goods are great and the sandwiches are amazing. My wife and I usually get sandwiches here when we want to eat out. I won't mention the chicken cutlets because I am sure everyone already knows..... but just in case, THEY ARE AMAZING! I get them for my daughter and son whenever we come in. He is 1 but he knows a good cutlet when he sees one and she loves them with honey mustard. We used them for catering recently. The sandwich platter was HUGE and they gave us amazing condiments. Please dont ever change, you are the best!!!!
Hit and miss when it comes to the sandwiches. Grinder bread could be much better. That's a big part of a good grinder!
Went in for lunch early to try and beat the rush, as I only have a half hour lunch break. Walked up to counter placed order for a sandwich. I then stood in the middle of deli for over 10min until someone asked if I had been helped. I said I put in my order already, and restated what my order was. Meanwhile people had come in ordered and we’re served, a few more had come in to pick up and were served. After another 10 min I put my bag of chips back and walked out. There were at least 8 people working and no one seemed to care to correct a possible mistake. I wasn’t offered any customer service, that my order may have been overlooked and are on it now. This was beyond frustrating and I wasted my whole lunch break standing around. I work for a larger utility company and eat lunch out all over greater Hartford. I will be telling all the guys to never go here again. I have had some questionable service here before but this is the last time I go to the Italian Gourmet. I have a food service background and can completely understand the lunch rush. I was ignored, and disregarded. Never again
