Tried this place for the first time. Misty was our server and she was so nice! My son got one of the seafood boils. (1/2lb shrimp, 1/2 lb crawfish and some crab). It was all so good. The shrimp were delicious. We weren’t in love with the butter garlic sauce but it was ok. The corn was not good but the rest of the boil was really great. The clam chowder was good and big portion. I don’t think catfish is for me but it seemed well prepared for those that like it. The Cajun fries were really good. The bartender she was so nice and friendly and it was great to talk with her and Misty. The menu did have something for everyone’s budget. I want to try the garlic noodles with the shrimp and sausage next time. There was a robot that brought the food and then Misty was there to set us all up. I was not a fan of the robot. It was weird. They had great drinks. My son got a honeydew melon tea with bubbles and I got a virgin pina coloda. His drink was great. My pina was missing the coconut flavoring but the pineapple ? drink was ok too.
Very strange seasoning combos in the seafood boils. Poor service and overpriced food.
You really can't complain at all about this place. The staff was wicked nice, the food was really good. Drinks were very strong and in cute mugs. They even have robots to help their staff with serving. Decor was pretty neat and themed with great information about species of crabs. 10/10. Way too pricey for what I can afford, but we hope to come back again! (Butter did go cold quickly in the boil bags making it mush up, but peel and soak while you eat and you should be good.)

The experience at Shaking Crab was like no other! The food was amazing, the books were on point with flavor and portion! Our server Anita was the best! She went above and beyond to make my family feel welcome and taken care of! Will definitely be returning.
If you haven’t been here and you’re from the area, I can promise you you’re missing out. This place had incredible service, a robot, and great food. I am so happy to be able to have been blessed with the opportunity since I turned away from Texas road house since the waiting line was too long. This spot was right across the highway and I was amazed with the decor! It’s not often you see a crab on a building. I had lobster bisque and I will come back till the end of my days in RI. Thank you to our lovely server and amazing owner.
We celebrated our Anniversary at Shaking Crab last night. The food and service were phenomenal. Anita was our server and she was the best. I will definitely be back with the whole family. I highly recommend you check this place out.
