Excellent service. Timely and they made me feel welcome. I've stopped in twice in less than a week. Definitely will be back. Food is great and they have plenty of options whether you want to sit down or take something on the road. A top spot in New London!

We traveled by rail from Boston to New London in order to get to Foxwoods. We had some time to kill so we walked around the corner from the station and chose Muddy Waters cafe to eat. What a wonderful experience! They had a variety of pastries and sandwiches to order with beverages and we were very impressed by the service and quality of our food! I had a pesto chicken sandwich that could have fed two people and a tall coffee. My wife ate a delicious pastry. It was so nice that on our return journey we stopped there again and enjoyed another top notch meal. The only regret was the Winter weather prevented us sitting outside on the deck but the inside is cosy and interesting and we enjoyed every minute. Clearly it was also popular with locals because it was busy both times we visited. Well worth it.

Not just a great atmosphere and great view , but also best service from Xhovani and others. Best food in town. “Love Salad” a must try !!

If I were a local, I would be spending a lot of time in this cafe. Love the eclectic nautical decor and the big windows looking out to the water. The coffee is great, and they have plenty of unique lattes to try, and I also enjoyed my sandwich.

Waiting on my train so I grabbed breakfast. That'ssandwich was life. I love their food. I eat there every time I'm in town. Amazing food & staff

Great menu and staff. Back has a patio in warmer weather.

I still love muddy waters but they got to get it together…. We have lived in this area a few years now. Every Saturday we would go to muddy waters and enjoy our breakfast on the back deck. The last few times we visited has not be so good. Last time we got only half of our order and had to ask for the breakfast sandwich that we didn’t get. They did apologize and it was no big deal. Today we went in at 825 order 2 cups of oatmeal and one croissant. At that time there was one gentleman in front of us. We both waited patiently. The man in front of us finally went to the counter and said I have been waiting 20 minutes for a breakfast sandwich. The gentleman politely apologized and quickly went to the back to retrieve the sandwich. By now more people arrived ordering large orders, as well as call in orders. Everyone kept waiting and asking staff how much longer? The workers kept saying your order is coming. Unfortunately we couldn’t wait any longer and had to cancel our order due to my husband having an appointment at 945. As I was canceling it they did bring it out and I felt horrible. However, it doesn’t take over 30 minutes to make a breakfast sandwich and oatmeal when there was only the one guy in front of us. I am grateful that the staff is friendly and we do love Muddy Waters. I know it’s hard to get help these days because no one wants to work but you guys have to do something to get food out in a timely matter. — at Muddy Waters Cafe.

Really love the atmosphere here! Always friendly always gets it right! My favorite things to get here are my sausage egg and cheese on a croissant and for lunch the roasted turkey half sandwich and soup or the Love Salad. Can’t go wrong with any of their menu choices, but these are my go-to’s.

Is amazing place, the coffee is delicious and the food is well. Is nice to come whit a friends
