Great atmosphere and staff

One of my favorite spots when we head south. Never had a bad meal.
Hot Rods is my 5 year olds favorite restaurant. He absolutely loves the wings (as do we). Tonight, when my husband called to place an order, the women who answered the phone was rude and hung up on him after saying "we don't do takeout". We have gotten take out probably a dozen times. It's completely understandable if something changed and they are no longer able to accommodate take out orders, but there was absolutely no need for the staff to be rude. Pretty disappointing.
So we needed a highchair, they not only had a few available, they disinfected it at the table without us asking! They served me Budweiser in a bottle that was on point, and the waiter(Joseph) was very attentive. The food(wings) were top-notch and very filling! We never felt rushed and truly enjoyed our Sunday night dinner. Joseph was also very informative about all the questions we had about the menu and even had good advice about the hotness scale on the Cajun fries. I WISH I took pictures of what we ordered, but we choked down before I had a chance ?Thanks, Joseph, for a FANTASIC night ?
The waitstaff was very intuitive and took great care of us. The wings were delicious, beer cold and menu included too many specials for one evening. We will be back.

I sincerely would have given this place a 5 stars rating from my personal experience. Unfortunately, 4.5 stars aren’t an option. Yes, their wings down to the soup are pretty pricey. Hot Rod do offer an excellent amount of flavors to choose from when coming to their wings. I guess my only complaint here would be as a returning customer for future take out customer is to check your order prior to leaving and over the phone. I ordered blue cheese, celery stick and ranch dressing which are charged at $1 each but never received but no biggie. My wings were extremely salty AF maybe perhaps due to miscommunication via phone and the woman that took my order yesterday perhaps thought I requested Xtra old bay seasoning. From prior experience which is why I return is they do have exceptional customer service and when the communication is clear they make excellent wings. I hope this review help the business and for future take out customer.
This place is mad cool. S/O to their staff. Everyone from the walk in to the walk out were kind and helpful. The wings are very good. Food was fresh and hot. I would like to go back during the summer when I know it’s really a great hang out.
