Fantastic Italian restaurant! Service was fast and friendly. We got the meatballs to start, they were cooked perfectly, the sauce that came with the meatballs was perfect! Both pizzas were excellent, thin crust and full of flavor. The basil must have been picked right off the bush. Great outside seating, perfect on a warm summer night! If you're in New Haven you might be tempted to go to the other guys, do yourself a favor and give Zeneli a try.
Our family loved this place! Great pizza and bread. Everything came out fresh, hot, and so quick! The waiter was amazing! So happy we didn’t have to wait in a long line for great pizza! Definitely try the orange soda!
It was a beautiful day to enjoy a nice dinner on Wooster St. My family and I decided to go to Zeneli for the first time. We were seated after about 10 minutes from requesting a table. Like I mentioned before, it was a really nice day, so we sat outside. After about five minutes, we were placing our order.We ordered the meatballs to start-off our lunch. It comes with three (3) meatballs. The sauce was good, but the meatballs not so much. We ordered the Tartufella. It was my first Black Truffle pizza that I've ever tried. It also came with Sweet Sausage. It did not disappoint. It was delicious! My sin loved it! We also had the Tre Carni, which has Sweet Sausage, Spicy Salami and Prosciutto. My wife loved it! I had the Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe. Creamy and delicious! My daughter had the Gnocchi Ala Sorrentina with fresh mozzarella. She really liked it!Sadly, we found a piece of hair on one of the pies. We brought it to their attention and they quickly replaced it.Pros: They have good overall service and prices are comparable to other restaurants nearby.Cons: Good luck trying to find parking. It's something that affects most restaurants in the area.
Zeneli is an authentic Italian restaurant to visit on Wooster street. We split the arugula salad, prosciutto and fresh mozzarella, and broccoli rabe and sausage pie between three for lunch and still took some home. We will definitely visit again when in the area and would like to try some of the dinner entrees.
This is the newest addition to the Wooster Street pizzerias. The outdoor seating area was clean and the service was excellent. The pizza, however, was a little on the greasy side as you might see from the pictures. But, the ingredients were fresh and the pizza very tasty. We will give it another shot at some point.
Great food in general not to bad of a wait and nice atmosphere
We drove up from Philly this past weekend to do the New Haven apizza tour and absolutely loved Zenli's. We got the Margherita pie and it was probably some of the best pizza I've ever had. Their pizzas are traditional neopolitan (my personal favorite style). The ingredients all come together to create the absolute perfect pie. Can't wait to come back.We sat outside in the little patio area which I loved.If you're planning on visiting New Haven for pizza and while they don't have the traditional new haven style, I highly recommend Zeneli's gets a spot on the list.
A group of 11 went for dinner. Service was quick and efficient. Seated promptly because we went early before the real dinner rush.We ordered a lot of food. Food was delicious. Love the thin crust pizza, yummy pasta, and tasty appetizers.Highly recommended!
