They food is great but I try to call them to place my order ahead so I don't have to wait in line but the number they have there is always going to voicemail. Bad business.

Marketa is a great little convenient store & deli with excellent sandwiches and subs, some of the best around. They are loaded with meat, you definitely do get what you pay for however, as they are a bit pricey, but hands down the best in the area.

The new owner is TRASH! He's rude, stingy and over priced for what he offers. I ordered a BLT sub. Most places offer 6 slices of bacon, 3 per side of the sandwich. He gave me 4 shriveled up peices and yelled at me for questioning why I was paying $10.50 for 4 slices of crumbled bacon and a pound of lettce. I patronized this establishment for years prior to the new owner taking over, approximately 2 years ago. I will NEVER spend money in that place again. You shouldn't either!
I found a hair in my steak and cheese not happy with that, it tasted good up until that point
I always enjoy friendly service and good food at The Marketa. They make some of the best subs in New Haven!!!
Stop by this place on my way to work and ordered a steak and cheese sub. It was a little busy that day but I got what I needed. The sub was pretty good little pricey but it’s ok I enjoyed it!
