Unassuming place that will FLOOR you with its flavors! Fresh tasting, generous portions, reasonably priced and oh so delicious! Easily some of the best food I have ever had anywhere period.
I am a journalist who writes for the New York Times and often writes about my travels. I have lived in the Southwest and visited Mexico repeatedly. Since moving to New Haven I have not been able to find first rate, authentic Mexican food. Until now. This place is amazing. The enchiladas and nachos are some of the best I’ve ever had. I I ordered of COURSE I MUST TRY THE FLAN N RICE PUDDING CUZ MY FAVES. AND I GOT A PORK COOKED AND COVERED CHEESE ONIONS AND NOT SURE W AVACado plus guacamole(and the green Verde,) it was reasonable under 24$ w 2 $5.00 min desserts.. under 20$ and then w tip n tax etc guac.. but over.. BUT I MUST SAY WORTH IT.. I THINK THEIR FLAAN IS BETTER THAN THE LATIN BAKERY ACCROSS ST. (NOT AS RICH, N FIRM) ILL EVENTUALLT DO ENTIRE SECTION LOL ON FLAN N OTHER FAVE DESSERTS.. THIS PLACE GREAT IF IM NOT MISTAKEN WHERE YOU ORDER OUT I CANT RECALL SEEING A SEP DINIG ROOM.. BUT REGARDLESS GOOD FOR SMALL PRE/PRO MEAL SNACK . DEFINATELY A GREAT CHEF WHO KNOWS THE FOOD. IVE HAD FOOD LIKE THIS BUT NOT HERE IN USA AUTHENTIC BUT STILL APPEALING WNOUGH THAT ANY CHILD WILL LIKE SOMETHING AS WELL.

Incredible food - my favorite Mexican food in the New Haven area, HANDS DOWN (and one of my favorites just in general)! Everything has been outstanding so far - burrito, taco, torta, etc. Would recommend, both in person or through Uber Eats. Thanks for being my go-to :)
Authentic. Delicious. Friendly. Got a carnitas and veggie burrito which were both real good. Extra points because the veggie burritos had some grilled veggies in it.
Literally the greatest carnitas I’ve ever had. Driving from an hour away is well worth it.
