Amazing! Authentic by far the best Italian food in a while

I feel as though I am just repeating what everyone else here is saying, but I'll still say it: great food, atmosphere, and staff. Absolutely wonderful.
We went to this place for my dad’s birthday. We walk in and are immediately greeted by “Mama” Anna who quickly bonded with my sister upon hearing her speak Italian. Anna was so sweet and welcoming. I hadn’t even sat at the table yet and felt like I was with family. The food was incredible!! We all ordered different dishes and I ate my entire plate… I NEVER eat my whole meal but the portions were big enough to satisfy while not being so much that you felt uncomfortable afterwards. The waitress was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. We ended up chatting with her about family after we had finished eating. I will definitely be coming back to Skappo and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a homey environment with delicious Italian food.
This is the best Italian restaurant you will find in CT without question. The service is impeccable, the food is second to none and the prices are incredibly affordable. Your only regret will be not dining here sooner.
Fantastically delicious!!! I LOVE authentic Italian food and this place hits the mark. Wonderful atmosphere, lovely staff, and family run. Will come back and highly recommend :)
The entire experience was a very pleasant surprise! The food was authentic... uncomplicated, balanced, fresh, and delicious. The place is cozy, and the atmosphere very inviting. You feel right at home. It was our first time there on Saturday night. We are looking forward to our next visit very soon.
