A third wonderful experience this season! Heather was so very nice and patient and very attentive. We were celebrating a happy occasion and it was perfect all around! I dropped my knife and I could have reached down but not 1 but 2 busboys appeared to retrieve and replace. We did notice the staff were all walking around smiling. Can’t wait to return soon. We hear the baked ricotta is the best! Thank you again

What a view! I love Shell & bones. I have been there 6 times and have never been disappointed. The view in the late spring/summer/early fall is absolutely wonderful. The breeze coming off the water is delightful while sipping a cocktail. And oh, yeah, they have food too! LOL! Seriously, the food is excellent. The fish is always fresh, and the beef is very nicely done. I do prefer the ribeye with the demiglaz on the side but forgot to ask for it this time. Some of my favorites are the shrimp cocktail, clams casino, clam chowder, ribeye, and linguini with clams. It is a lively place and I feel very comfortable there!

Not impressed for this kind of price; we were expecting more. Picked this place for a special occasion and were very excited. The place was not busy. Yet, none of our courses were served together at the same time (party of four), drinks came after appetizers, food was nice but not a wow! Food presentation was beautiful though. Atmosphere is nice, great view, but not worth spending this kind of money.
Business dinner with some colleagues and we wanted to try something away from downtown. The ten minute ride was so worth it. Menu items included : Charcuterie board and clam chowder, lobster salad, and bouillabaisse. My entrée was the roast chicken, perhaps the best chicken dish I’ve ever had in restaurant. The mini donuts really finished up the meal perfectly. Magnificent views and just a wonderful atmosphere. What made the night was our server Danielle. She was so friendly, knowledgeable and had a real passion for Shell and Bones and took a real interest in our party. A rare find these days - thank you Danielle! We all agreed - next tim in New Haven, we will be back to the S&B!
Delicious food. Great service. Beautiful views. Cannot complain about my experience here. Needed a spot along the route to stop for lunch and I’m really glad we chose this place. The lobster roll was to die for. They somehow make their bread taste like absolute perfection. One hundred percent recommend.Now for my standard COVID comments as of April 2022. No one is wearing masks. Was not extremely packed for Sunday brunch so it wasn’t that bad. Would be cautious if you’re still not comfortable with sitting indoors but I felt pretty much fine sitting inside and enjoyed my brunch!
My friends and I just got here in New Haven area and tried this restaurant since we were craving for seafoods. We ordered mussels, cod, clam chowder, and steak. The food were delicious. The ambience was fantastic and what made it the best experience was our server, Tiffany. She was the best.
As always this place never disappoint us! Everything has always been amazing! We came in celebrating our 1 year anniversary and was so happy our server was the same person 2 years ago when we came to celebrate our engagement! Hannah was phenomenal. The manager had also come to our table making sure we were taken care of. All the staff was great! We were very relax and we enjoyed our time. I love this place and definitely love my Bouillabaisse!
Beautiful view, delicious food and great service! Came here for a birthday celebration on a Sunday afternoon. The place was packed and super busy. We had a fairly large group (9 ppl) and I was sure that we'd have to wait a long time to be served but our server took our order quickly and brought everything pretty quickly, as well. From soups, appetizers, to dinners and desserts, everything we ordered was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back again!! They have an outdoor patio that I can't wait to use in warmer weather!
