This place has been reliably great for a few choice noms, but laughably terrible at damn near everything else. I've been ordering pies from them for at least 3 years and to be honest - the plain pie has been excellent. Maybe even one of the better pies in NHV, which obviously is saying quite a bit. However - ordering anything else off of their menu is ROUGH. Even if you toss a sausage topping on a pie (and god forbid some peppers), most of the time it's unceremoniously dumped in the middle of the circle and will smoothly slide off any slice you daintily try to coax from the assembly. The wings are drier than my ex and the meatball grinders are creepy - no meatballs, just a collection of tiny, semi extruded beef squares slathered in low-moisture mozzarella on boring bread with sad red sauce. Don't throw pizza toppings into bread and call it a grinder.I ordered some of the boneless wings (I know, tenders) this evening which were actually pretty good, but the menu prices are thoroughly f***ed. Ended up paying 35% more than the online menu said for a 24pc set. BBQ sauce was dope though tbh.Not everyone who orders from you folks is a stumbling college toad and the west side of this town needs better food than this. Some of your food is excellent, pull the rest up.The lady on the phone was nice.
Love the outdoor seating, they keep the oven piping hot as high as 700° Well past midnight into the wee hours, and they crank them out thin and hot, New Haven style. Best after-midnight-spot in town in addition to their normal business hours. They deliver beer too. Pizza and beer delivered after midnight in New Haven and beyond? Pinch me! Am I dreaming?
Walked in wanting a slice of pizza. Unfortunately, they had run out. Understandably so as it was late afternoon. I ordered a small Margarita pizza and requested it extra crunchy. The pizza the young man made was amazing. They close early, 8:30 so I suggest you order early and experience the best. Even cold the pizza was at it's best. Love that CRUNCH!!
amazing pizza at an amazing price
If you like brick oven pizza, this is one of my favorite pizza spots, their cheese pizza is very good, and I really like their calzones. If you're in new haven, come try this place, you won't regret it.?
AVOID AT ALL COST. Very rude staff and an even ruder Owner. I order a pizza for pick up and paid $40 for a pizza. $40 and this is what I received. Wrong toppings, raw toppings and a folded pizza and to top it off it was cold. Will never go back and I hope others do the same!!!
So there was actually mold in the ricotta on the pizza I ordered. I had a very long day looking forward to some food only to throw out a 40$ order… I ordered garlic bread too and threw it out because if there’s mold on the pizza who knows what else could be on the bread. Not sure about everyone else but there’s not usually green stuff in ricotta, even herbs don’t look like that.
Pretty sure they gave me an old pizza someone else decided to not pick up. Handed me cold pizza the moment I ordered. Then charged me $30 for it, $10 more than the menu advertised. Very friendly girl and the pizza was actually pretty good. But enough of an experience to not go back.
Just ordered off the DoorDash app. Didn’t get what I wanted. And they skimped on the additional toppings I ordered. I mean like 1 pepperoni to a slice skimped. And I asked for spinach but they decided to give me basil. Also there sausage isn’t sausage. It’s disgraceful by far the WORST pizza in CT. I should’ve just went with Dominoes to be honest. ???
Absolutely terrible. First, everything was cold. Wings were hard as rocks. My guess is they pre fried them, waited an hour before trying to refry them to “crisp” them up, but it was not executed. These wings were dryer then eating a spoon of cinnamon. The pizza wasn’t much better. Extremely inconsistent, some slices had an extremely well charred crust, others had the bottom burnt to a crisp. Don’t waste your time when there is so many amazing pizza spots in New Haven.
