Grabbed a quick takeout lunch here while staying at the hotel nearby. Got the Schwafel bowl and it came out to $13.90 after taxes and before tips. For me the portion was good. But my friend remarked that it seemed a bit on the smaller size. I got the bowl with salad (the rice option probably would have been tastier). I got a little bit of everything - shawarma chicken, chicken kebab and falafels. The falafel was fried on spot, so it was hot and crispy. I also got a little of every side I wanted - fatoush, hummus and chickpea salad. Lastly, I asked for a couple of sauces. My server was Munaza A. and I must compliment the friendly and quick service and for helping me have a good experience.
I love this place because they serve Halal food and I visit them sometimes when I wanna have some falafel over rice and a combo mix with some sauces humus and a different variety of toppings, so delicious food and I can’t resist it. I literally spend $30-$40 each time I visit there. They got so much better food than halal guys and thank God they gone from new haven. So ONLY Pitaziki! If ya around downtown ya better give them a try and see for yourself! Not playin! You betcha! ?✌️
Disappointing. They left out three core items in the vegetarian combo we ordered (fries, grape leaves, and grilled veggies). I would advise checking your takeout order before leaving the restaurant.
Tonight I was disgusted with how I was treated. I came in and asked may I use the bathroom and I was told “no”. I asked why “ the lady told me because “it’s for customers only it’s not for the public” I said “no problem I’ll buy something then” she said “no you still can’t use the bathroom” and I said “but I’m buying something so I’m a customer now. why can I use it?”.She then said around 10:50pm that “someone puked in the bathroom awhile ago and that they shut down the bathroom”.However, there was not a out of order sign on the door nor a closed bathroom sign on the door.There were guest that came out of the bathroom when i was walking in to the restaurant. And they had tons of guest in the dining room as well siting and eating. The restaurant does not close until 12am and it was around 10:50pm.Unfortunately, I believe that I wasn’t allowed in the bathroom because I’m black. Because they were allowing all there white guest use the bathroom before I asked. I would hope this place is not a racist establishment and that maybe this could be just a coincidence.
Horrible. Our Boss bought us lunch and we decided on this place for take out. They didn’t get our orders correct. We ordered chicken wraps and bowls with other additional stuff all we got was greasy oily chicken. No tzatziki sauce, hummus, rice for the bowls. Just oily chicken. Thanks for ruining lunch. I’ll never go there again.
Was really excited about trying out this place for the first time but found a hair in my food. The place did not very well kept but decided to give it a try. Will definitely not be going back.
Best food and best service. Food was so fresh and hot. Me and my wife loved it. Definitely recommend to try their dishes
Very disappointed. A couple of weeks ago I ordered some food on Uber Eats. The restaurant accepted the order, I got a confirmation for pickup from UberEats, only to show up and have them shooing me out of the restaurant because apparently they were closed and they never made my food. One of the girls who worked there demanded that I cancel the order on UberEats, despite me telling her that if I cancel after the order already had been accepted by the restaurant I wouldn't get a refund. She continued to push me to do so, so I did. And of course, UberEats refused to issue a refund.I showed the employees, at which point they called their boss, and he spoke to me. He apologized and said that the next day he would reach out and make it right.It has been weeks, I called them multiple times, over and over and over again, and nobody ever called to help make it right. To someone who doesn't make much money, and who was starving after a long difficult day at work, this has continued to bother me, so I had to come and leave this review. I'm really disappointed, not just with how insubordinate and rude the employees were, but the complete lack of regard for this situation. I'm sorry, but if you can't take 5 minutes out of your day to call me and issue a refund, after I've been more than patient, then you're losing my business.
You get a large portion of delicious food for a good price and it's open late. Reliable restaurant in the middle of town
I wish the ordering process was a little less chaotic, it’s very disorganized. But the food is so, so good. I’m obsessed with the falafel wrap. Delicious and fresh tasting food with lots of options.
