Excellent Pizza and Outstanding Staff! Recently had to feed a large number of volunteers and pizza was the obvious choice. 163 pizza was amazing! Thin crispy crust with a perfectly balanced sauce!
Best pizza in East Rock and amongst the top 3 in New Haven. It is truly an art form to watch them cook in the wood fire oven. They also make some pretty decent Mac n Cheese.
My goodness... first off. Friendly staff. Even though they were rocking the kitchen to make delicious pizza they always checked in with the customer. I just came from East Rock brewery. I read that it's BYOB. So naturally I bought a growler to have with my pizza. Every selection was more enticing than the next. I started off with Grandma's meatballs. That is a meal in itself. Layered with thick cheese and hot to the very end. The meat was tender and tasty. I also tried the pig bacon. If bacon was a candy this was it! Recommend for a good starter. I talked to one of the staff and they suggested the king. Now this is no ordinary pizza. Supposedly this was Elvis Presley's favorite pizza dish. Now I love my pizza with sauce. But I'm always open-minded to new adventures. Peanut butter sauce as the base, smoked bacon, caramelized walnuts & mozzarella. They drizzle cranberry-honey jam after it comes out of the oven. I couldn't pass up. This pizza did not disappoint. I must say about the dough itself...Very flavorful one the best tasting dough I've had. I'm making a list of what to get next time I go up there. Definitely a place to put on your visit list.
One 6 Three is among the New Haven Greats of Pizza! As delicious as the pies at Modern and Pepe's, with far more interesting flavor options. I especially love the Fungus Among-us mushroom pie. Their cheese pizza is a steal at $13!
This was an amazing place to have a solo dine. I went early, and had an amazing clams casino pizza. i enjoyed the staff, the food, and the ambiance!
I have gotten this place a number of times, but tonight it was perfect. They swung with the New Haven greats. My pizzas were perfection, perfectly baked and charred. Absolutely delicious. I have to order here more frequently.
The Caesar salad is outstanding! It's nice to find a good poutine south of Canada border. Service was good but a little slow (to be fair, it was busy).
The dough is tastes really good. Probably my favorite dough. I like thin pies, but it’s a little too thin. Cheese to sauce ratio are great. Ingredients are great and the specialty pies are all good choices.
Such a good pizza place, their fried oreos and fries with the house sauce are delicious! Pretty pricey but you won’t regret it. The workers are really friendly.
