First, this listing does not describe the place well at all. This is the Bagelry at Olmo. The link to their website is correct. Not sure if the have the restaurant anymore. We stopped in at 10:30 on a Sunday morning to a 1/2 hour wait. Granted it was graduation weekend as well. We had a BEC and a Lox bagel and they were both delicious. We also took 1/2 dozen home to upstate NY. No complaints at all. These are airy and well cooked bagels. We were not disappointed. Also had their coffee. It was perfect. Would have preferred lass sweet, but they did not have a lot of options. Will try to specify in comments when I order on the tablet next time. All in all a great experience.

These bagels are absolutely awesome, but today I got 3 bagels and only one was the right one. I hadn’t been here in a while but last week I stopped by and was so happy with my experience, I decided to return. The bagels may be the best in CT, but if they have a 50% success rate on getting orders right.

Absolutely delicious bagel breakfast sandwiches- I love the bacon egg and cheese on a cacio e pepe or salt bagel, but I'm sure it'd be delicious on any of their bagels. Can't recommend highly enough.

Pricey but always worth it! I haven't had a better bagel in Connecticut. The Everything Everything is to die for. And the sandos are out of this world and made ANY way you want. Olmo is as good as it gets!

When they're good they're great. Quality of the food has been a little off lately- especially when they're busy. Get there early for a guaranteed good meal. Staff is really nice (for the most part-everybody has that 1 person ?). Overall decent but better when the owner is in.

I had probably one of the best poppyseed bagels at Olmos, only to be ruined by a schmear of ‘whipped’ cream cheese; it may be fine on red velvet cake, but I prefer a slab of Philadelphia style cream cheese on my bagel. The communal outside seating similar to East Rock Coffee, Blue State and Nicas is nice… disappointed, expensive, and not worth the wait; bruegger's bagels is just a few blocks away, and the other places mentioned have bagels as well.

First time at Olmo this morning - although it was quit busy, staff and chef were amazingly courteous and efficient. Bagels are chewy and absolutely delicious - had the onion sea salt. ! Coming from NY, always in search of a great bagel in CT. Definitely coming back.

Cacio e Pepe bagel with spicy scallion cream cheese was to die for. So glad we randomly stumbled upon this place while driving through New Haven.

It definitely succeeds a convincing locals who don’t know any better that it’s very good. The bagels are not good. The eggs and other items they put on them are good enough. The prices are high, which I guess is necessary given the relatively low volume that New Haven has. They do a really effective job selling themselves as an artisan local place. But it really isn’t. I’d rather have a very good bagels in a lousy bagel that’s dressed in marketing.

Excellent bagels. Always fresh, with that perfect outside crisp and inside tenderness. Everything everything and cacio e pepe are our faves — and egg when it’s available! Coffee and sandies good too!
