My new go to spot for soul food. From start to finish everything was awesome ? especially the customer service the staff treated us like family. I definitely recommend stopping by.
I gave a 1 star because the older lady that worked there was very nice. The young lady who took are order seemed like she had an attitude &’ was aggravated. The food was very disgusting the mac and cheese was watery wasn’t anything about it baked it seemed like it had cheese sauce instead of regular cheese, tasted like it had to much pepper in it. The collar greens had cabbage in it and they were sweet wit no type of flavor to them. Chopped bbq just was gross only thing I did enjoy were yams. Everything just seemed so blend no type of flavor to it. Corn bread was pretty okay. They gave little rice, with a lot of been to many beans.

Mama Matt’s was supposed to cater and serve at the repass after my aunts funeral. They were paid in full days before the funeral. The family arrives - there is no food- no servers- nothing!! When we called they said they lost the ticket. Did they lose the $1500 they had in their pockets for days. They made no offer to correct it. Customer service is horrible!!

Listen, I will be back. The food was definitely worth it! It was perfectly seasoned and I didn't get tired after eating it. The flavors were well balanced and didn't need any extra assistance. I wasn't crazy about the cake however, I had a strawberry cake and while the texture was great the frosting and the taste of the cake overall wasn't impressive however it wasn't bad just not enough to make me want another piece. But back to the food it's a 10/10 I wanted to cry it was so good I was in there making noises as I ate "mmmm" very warm and friendly atmosphere, everyone in there was very kind and attentive. My 79 year old grandma said the black eye peas reminded her of her mother's and she enjoyed her time as well. We will be returning!
Ordering from Mama Mary’s was my WORST dining experience ever! I was looking forward to some good ol’ soul food and was disappointed. It was no soul in the food nor any southern hospitality. The online prices are way cheaper then the actual prices. Mama Mary’s is a rip off. Please save your time & money by not patronizing this establishment. If I could give them -0 stars I would.
Mama Mary’s has fallen off. I am so disappointed that my husband paid $54.31 for some watered down chopped bbq and some lack luster Mac-n- cheese. The food is wayyyyy over priced for the new smaller options. They don’t even have trays that the fit the food. A piece of foil separates you side from the main meat and why are the collard greens sweet?…never going back again as this was not my first disappointing moment. This was the last chance and they blew it. Y’all may as well cook your own soul food. CT HAS NO GOOD SOUL FOOD SPOTS.
Working on a Sunday and decided to go here for lunch, the food on the website looked pretty good, but there were many negative reviews. We ordered with no problem and the orders were taken by two grumpy hostesses. I asked for fried okra as one of my sides she curtly said, "We don't got none!' So I ordered Cajun Wings well done, Collards, Rice and Mac and cheese. For some strange reason she ordered Stuffing and charged me for the rice! Wellll my order got lost in the shuffle. I had to ask a few times or an update on my order, but eventually a very nice older woman went to the back to look for my order. She gave me my order with any apology and we left! Wellll, we should've went to McDonalds, the food was grossly under seasoned, the wings were not well done, actually they were still red at the bone and definitely not Cajun. The collards were sweet, the Mac and cheese was soupy and looks as if it had cheese sauce on it, the Rice was good and the Stuffing I didn't touch. What a waste of $22.00! The one star was for the very nice woman that found my order! #NeverAgain #BelieveTheReviews
Ordered through door dash and they completely gave the wrong order nothing I ordered came in missing my yams Mac and cheese and Carribean rice gave me pepper steak that’s legit look like dog food clearly people In there need to go back to school and learn basic reading and collard greens are not supposed to taste sweet we’re is the vinegar! Wouldn’t recommend
