Complained to the Owner through a post and he didnât bother to respond. The first time I visited, it was great! On 7/2/22 it was horrible. I am very disappointed. I want them to succeed but they need to want to succeed too!
The food was DELICIOUS! compliments to the chef. The service and drinks were great. My partner and I plan to come back frequently
This place is a gem- super great ambience, great music and menu. The parking was easy and affordable as well.
We had an amazing night from start to finish. On the night we went, the street was blocked off and there was a small festival with a few food trucks and several vendors out front(8pm). It was warm and foggy out which only lent to the calm cool mysterious atmosphere.Walking in we were greeted at the door and escorted to our group. We were there to celebrate the anniversary of my mother gaining her wings. The decor was festive. It had the feel of the Renaissance, New York/ New Orleans. The drinks were amazing! I had a Nina(Simone) Delicious!! And a Strong Island Ice Tea.I ordered the Magnolia. It came with blackened creole shrimp, sweet plantains, cauliflower rice, turkey collard greens, and sweet honey cornbread. It was spicy!!!! The good burn. Absolutely delicious. Never had cauliflower rice that had so much flavor. My cousin had the sexy(chicken) tenders. Pricing was fair. The live band set the mood perfectly. We got a little Anita Baker, some Stevie Wonder , and many more. They were the bomb!! Mixed and multicultural, eclectic crowd. Everyone in the place was enjoying the night. We will definitely be back...Several more times!! I highly recommend to anyone considering going.
Went here in the beginning of May for my sister's birthday. Let me just say that everything was on point from the moment we walked in. The food was delicious. We had the jerk chicken, rice with peas, and sweet planting. The drinks went down smoothly. The atmosphere and entertainment was really enjoying as it was our first burlesque show. The waitress was giving so much life! Overall this place did not disappoint us. Keep up the great work guys ! We'll definitely be back.
First time celebrated my Birthday there with few friends nice cute low key soul food spot loved the atmosphere very welcoming enjoyed my time corn bread out of this world melts in your mouth.. I want to say thank you to the staff for making my day special...
I went here recently to celebrate one of my best friend’s 40th birthday. We all had such a good time, the overall vibe is dope. The music was on poin brought some nostalgia, as they played old skool hip hop and R&B , the decor captures and celebrates black culture. And our food was amazing, a different twist to soul food, the chef did his thing. Our waiter showed great service and the staff even sang happy birthday. Although the drinks were a bit pricey, I would definitely recommend trying and would definitely come again. - We had a ball. ?
Had reservations at 530pm, it was happy hour time but I did not order happy hour food. Order entree the food was cold. I visited in March and everything was fantastic! I went this time with my mate for his fathers Day and the portions was smaller and they increased the price of the meals. I told my waiter to let the cook and manager know of my complaint. She told the cook only, obviously because the manager did not come over. The waiter said, we can warm it up for you, absolutely not. I will not be returning for a while.
From the moment I arrived I was greeted with a smile my host was polite and very helpful with helping me order seeing that it was my first time being there my food was delicious and very large amounts of it the atmosphere and music was just to my liking I will definitely be returning
Great service, food and music. Will definitely be back!
