Hunan house is absolutely delicious, the best place I’ve found (I’ve tried pretty much every Chinese restaurant in Greater New Haven area). Very reasonable prices, even during the pandemic when all costs of restaurant supplies have tripled! As a Chinese-American, this is the best, most authentic Hunan cuisine in the area, without a doubt.

Good Chinese food but not the best in the area. I had the General Taos chicken one time and the sesame chicken another. Tasted fine but not exactly what I expected. The previous owner did much better with the quality. I continue to order there because it's a close walk from work.
There were quite a few authentic dishes to choose from. We loved the dishes we ordered: nice take, especially, on the cumin lamb. Warm, attentive staff. Would be an easy five stars if it hadn't been so pricey.
