So disappointed… the pizza would taste good but was burned beyond any flavor… I waited so long and got this. Unfortunately I won’t come back.
The BEST Vegan pizza around. Great topping selection and the staff is knowledgeable about the ingredients. Love the Pollo (added Brussels sprouts). SO GOOD.
So if you use Uber eats or any other food delivery service. Look no further, THIS IS THE BEST PLACE THAT DELIVERS! Hands down out of all the selections possible, this place never disappoints. They have perfected the “burnt” taste. I often can’t stand places like Frank Pepe’s who over burn their pizza to the point of it just being gross, and their pizza tends to be really sloppy with extra flop. Da Legna literally has the perfect amount of crisp to doughy ratio on their crusts. Add the slightly burnt crust with their tangy sweet sauce! Mouth watering combination. This location is slowly and surely becoming top 5 in New Haven, and if you know anything about how competitive New Haven pizza places are, that’s a huge achievement. Well done Da Legna, keep it up!
Great vegan "pollo" pizza with soft cheese. Great local beers that made me proud to represent East Rock and be a "local guide." Very accommodating staff and forgiving if you accidentally seat yourself.Big space, Covid friendly, outdoor seating in the warmer months (~April, May, June, July, August, September, sometimes October)Would recommend!
We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a patate pizza. Both were very good. The pepperoni had great sauce and beautifully cupped pepperoni. I felt that the crust was a little weak. But a great experience. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 9.1.
I’ve never had vegan pizza before but this was definitely worth trying. Really really delicious! I gave up red meat 8 years ago and the Polpetta was the first time I’ve eaten pizza with “meatballs” in ages. It was awesome
The food here is amazing, I haven't had these types of pizzas. Also the drink are also very good. I like the style this place has. I would have giving it a 5 stars but I found mold on my ice. For a suggestion just don't ask for ice in your drinks.
It’s really 4.5 stars but I’ll round up!Pizza was AMAZING. I WENT 2 times. The first time was good but the second time was AMAZING. Monday night, not too busy and they just made the pizza perfect.Wouldn’t mind if the staff was a little more knowledgeable about the pizza oven but yea, I love this place.*Don’t tell modern I’ve been cheating.
A neapolitan type pizza with soft and chewy crust that's charred with care in wood fire ovens, but stretched larger than a typical personal pie of that style. Our large pie had 10 skinny slices, which fed a group of three comfortably. The quality of the toppings shone, even with the distractions of that excellent crust. Spicy sausage and broccoli rabe paired wonderfully with goat cheese; looking out for mozzarella di bufala next time!
love how thin and crispy the pizzas are here! you have to order the honey pot pizza. it was sweet, yet savoury at the same time. the cheese, sausage and other ingredients were so perfectly balanced. the pizza crust was cooked perfectly as well. I didn't know how well honey goes with pizza until I tried it here!
