Falafel cooked just right, not hard little round balls but fresh, lightly deep fried, soft and flavorful. The lentl soup tasted homemade with care. Both were so good I couldn't resist trying the baklava which was as good as the meal.
The food was authentic and delicious! Our server was very nice as well. Seems like a small family-owned business. It was very quiet in the restaurant, but the food definitely made up for that! They offer catering as well.
Ordered two eggs benedict online, the Florentine and the California, the Florentine eggs had lettuce instead of spinach and the California was completely wrong it was ham and eggs instead of tomato and avocado, I am vegetarian so I had to give it away. The poached eggs of the eggs Florentine was also a bit undercooked. A bit disappointed as I was really looking forward to eat some eggs Benedict.
I usually eat my gyros down the street by Doener Cafe which is so good. As it was closed for vacation I tried the lamb gyro. It was really bad and the owner seems to be very angry as he couldn't handle suggestions . Never be back.
We eat here every chance we get! Our daughter lives in New Haven. It is absolutely delish!!!

Awesome fresh food, stooping by again for lunch
The food was very good and fresh. Large portion for a good price. I took off one star because the older guy whom I assume ownes the place was outside smoking in customer seating. He was on the phone and never even said hello. I told him I ordered and he told me the total. Not great customer service but everyone is allowed an off day.
Is this place open or not? I placed an order online, everything online indicates it is open. The order was canceled. Please update your online hours if you are not open. In keeping an open mind, perhaps there was an emergency? Then get a voicemail box with messaging for customers. Cant comment on the food because apparently thats not happening. Not sure how many stars to leave ?
