The lady who runs the little hole-in-the-wall is amazing! She cooks everything all by herself and all the food has authentic flavors! The lotus leaf sticky rice and spicy noodles are so so yummy..! We’re regulars here now!
Shumai was literally spoiled. Took one bite, and it tasted like rotten fish. I nearly threw up on my counter.

Best quick bite place in new haven. Especially if you are looking for a delicious snack late night. We ordered the scallion pancake with crispy chicken and it’s PHENOMENAL. you have to come here.
This lady is a one woman show. She does everything herself and never complains or seems to be in a bad mood. My friends and I come here so often; she knows what we want soon as we enter. She always makes us feel welcome and the food is always on point. We even tried the fried milk one night and really enjoyed it. Always good!!!

I would like to start off by saying the customer service was excellent. She explained items on the menu that I had questioned. Unfortunately, the food was average, in other other words edible. (Nothing crazy about it) I honestly questioned if it was even chicken I ordered general tsos and fried veggie dumplings and I should’ve just made it at home! Try ‘House of Chao’ for authentic food! Just saying.
The spicy noodles were salty and my steam buns were not cooked all the way through. It must’ve been an off day because when I had their food before (not these dishes) it was good. Not happy with today though.
