Spacious cafe in New Haven near Yale campus. They do not appear to sell any beans. This is more of a place to post up with a laptop or meet a friend.
Love blue state coffee but there is always an issue at this location at York street. Try to visit any of their other locations in new haven because their coffee is really good. Again we got the wrong order here, waited another 10 min until it got fixed. I get my beans from here too, which were forgotten so I had to wait another 10 min until someone was available to grind them. I asked for fine ground for an espresso machine but that didn’t work either and I got coarse coffe grinds... 16$ beans that I won’t be able to use for my espresso machine. Love their coffee and beans but we will avoid this location
This place has fruit smoothies (with real fruit!) at a great price. They also usually have huge gluten free snickerdoodle cookies. It's a great place to get a few hours of work done but can also get pretty crowded.
The is definitely a college town coffee shop. Although not as expensive as Starbucks, the price is steep. But, the quality of the coffee is superb. So unless you're looking for a name brand just so you can say you had " Starbucks" this is where you'd want to be. The staff is precise and quick. Stop by for a cup you be feeling great in no time
Besides my burnt sandwich, this place used to be way better, I dunno what happened. I had to wait almost 30 minutes for a drink. Hire more people maybe ? The two people working there were so overwhelmed.
Quite frankly, I used to love this establishment; the environment and coffee of course. However it seems like since COVID-19 hit NHV hard, they haven't been able to recover. The coffee has been tasting burnt for months even though it was brewed minutes prior.Daily I witness the baristas being overworked in poorly maintained conditions. Literally the poor barista was standing in a nest of flies as she was trying to serve. The staff always has a great attitude despite the circumstances. There's no mandatory breaks for those poor individuals as well as alot of health hazards circling the place.Overall, shame on the owner for letting it get to this.
I had blue state coffee for the first time and it was tasty. I wanted to try something new and asked server for a coffee which is not to bitter. She prepared a latte and it was very tasty. I can drink this latte every morning.
Excellent almond milk latte, right across from the Sterling Memorial Library
It was my first day back in the office & I really wanted a coffee- there was a line but I waited & one of the girls took my order, gave me the coffee & when I went to pay was told they are not accepting cash at this time. I only had cash on me & was on a quick break so I was unable to get my coffee. There needs to be a sign on the door stating it’s card only. I give one star for poor communication. Also, why don’t you accept cash for checkout but accept cash tips?
A good spacious cafe in New Haven. Coffee was good but service was slow. Only 1 person preparing all the orders of coffee. Seems like this cafe is under staffed, the seating area needed some cleaning.
