The bartender Jordan was really amazing, as soon as I walked in he introduced himself and sat me right at the bar. I had a rough day but with his hospitality and sense of humor, I don't know if he was aware but he made my day that much better. I was so confused as to what I wanted to order that I told him I like sweet and tasty and he instantly made me something so good and it was like boom d.36rink was ready and ever sip had this saber sweet taste I loved my experience there. Jordan is so awesome.
Went for Sunday Brunch, micheladas are delicious, food is bursting with flavor, and the staff are friendly and laid back. Great brunch spot!
This was my first time in New Haven. Barracuda was recommended and honestly came back twice in one evening. Jordan was fantastic. As a bartender, Jordan was what brought me back. Attentive, personal, and genuine. The drinks were also great. Will be back and recommend to everyone.
I only suggest going in and sitting at the bar with Stevie. She's a great bartender and the sweetest girl I've met. She's from down south and it clearly shows. Everyone else there really treat people horribly and the food is never cooked all the way or it's freezing. Oh, and be careful because 3 days out of yhr week they are out of tequila or all kinds of other house liquors; Stevie was told by the Spanish guy bartender to use vodka for everything. It wasn't the same and Stevie apologized profusely. It wasn't her fault but she did make us these amazing drinks that tasted like peach rings you get at the candy store. She made it with fresh fruits and different liquors. Great job Stevie! You deserve a raise after watching how busy you were Saturday night and you still made sure everyone got what they wanted!
great customer service and atmosphere
Lovely ambiance, great drinks and awesome staff!! They have late-night happy hour from 9-11 some nights. Do yourself a favor and stop by to grab a few. I brought my date and had a lovely time. You're in luck if Chris or Ron are working that night.
We really wanted to like barracuda the vegetarian arepas was very good. However the entrees were up-and-down. the so called plain macaroni and cheese which we ordered for our children was extremely spicy.. It would have been nice if this was mentioned on the menu. On the other hand, the steak which was said to be marinated in chimichari was extraordinarily bland. Though we asked for more chimichurri, though the steak was cooked well the stove was no where to be found. Whereas the macaroni and cheese was overly spicy the steak was extremely bland. Barracuda has has potential I hope the kitchen could be more consistent
Excellent food and service! Nick the bartender is AMAZING!!!! Had a fantastic National Margarita Day!
Great food and drinks! Happy hour deals are awesome! They offer quite the selection for food and their margaritas and mojitos are $6!Loved their tostadas with the beef. Would definitely come back here again.
I was excited to dine here when I saw the reviews but was wildly disappointed to say the least. The restaurant looked and felt dark, dirty and grungy, but sometimes those are the best hidden gems so I kept my expectations high. Soda tasted weird and flat. Either the machine needs to be cleaned/serviced, they're using a knock-off cola, or the water needs to be filtered. I ordered the chicken empanadas and roasted street corn steak quesadilla. The empanadas were awesome, some of the best I'd ever had. Crispy yet fluffy and very tasty. The quesadilla on the other hand was awful. VERY greasy and FROZEN CHEWY TASTELESS CORN that wasn't even attempted to be roasted, and there was so much of it that it ruined the entire thing. Come on, guys! Frozen corn? Have some pride in the food you're putting out.Service was ok. No personality but he did his job.Would definitely not return. Even the homeless person outside wouldn't take my leftovers. Standards, some people have 'em, some don't. Barracuda Bistro, Don't.
