This place is OK. Not quite fabulous which is what I would expect for the price and hype (snagging a reservation for Restaurant Week was quite the coup). The sweet potatoes and tapas generally were great, veggie paella was a little bland.
Seems like a really great atmosphere whenever we’ve passed by, and menu looks great. I’m visiting from New York for the weekend and we made an 8:00pm reservation here. Waited until 8:45pm and still not yet seated - several other people we were talking to in line also made reservations and were waiting even longer. I would’ve really liked to try it but am too afraid to waste another 45 minutes waiting for nothing to consider coming back again. Not really sure what the point of the reservation was.
Went with a group for a birthday celebration. It was very crowded and busy on a Friday night. The wait was about an hour for people that wanted to be seated. Wait staff was very friendly. Unfortunately 2 in our party never got their dinner (paella) but management was apologetic bc the kitchen was closing for the night. They replaced with some appetizers that were quick to prepare.
Great service by James ! Good was quick and delicious !
Everything I had here was delicious! Ordered bacon wrapped dates, scallops, shishito peppers, and mussels for tapas and they were all cooked to perfection. Also got a creamy goat cheese and cheesecake for dessert; both delicious.I would suggest making a reservation if you plan to come here for a table at dinnertime but I didn't mind sitting at the bar so I just showed up and sat down. They were really busy so the servers themselves were a bit slow, but the food came out of the kitchen very quickly so it didn't really matter too much that servers were slower.
Excellent tapas. A lot of variety with an explosion of flavors. Very friendly staff. I highly recomment that place to go with friends. Fun evenong guaranteed!
Upon arrival and noticing we were the only two guests in the restaurant, the hostess notified us that we would have to sit at the bar as there were no servers available due to an event they were setting up for. While setting up, the staff were dragging the metal chairs across the floor making it very difficult to have a conversation. I approached the hostess and told her I have a condition called misophonia and the noises caused by dragging the chairs across the floor was causing me to have an anxiety attack. She was very dismissive of me any my condition and replied they would try to not drag the chairs. My reply was simple in that I've worked in the restaurant industry for many years and know it's quite simple to lift and set chairs in place. It's also common courtesy to not create a disturbance in an establishment while people are eating. During my conversation with the hostess she continued to approach me as I took multiple steps backwards to maintain social distance. When I told her to stop approaching me she acted incredulous as if my request to maintain a social distance with someone who was not wearing a mask was incredulous. The dragging of the chairs resumed immediately so we decided to leave. The bartender was sympathetic to our issue with the hostess and gave us our sangrias for free to go without discussion.

Came here with the family on my birthday. The staff was amazing and the food was phenomenal. Definitely worth the price. Location is pretty central. Not a lot of places to park on the street so may have to park somewhere else and walk over but that’s for most places within the downtown New Haven area.
The food was phenomenal and came out lightening fast. The server was friendly and knowledgeable, helping us navigate the extensive menu and make drink choices. Can't wait to go back!
