Wild mushroom fondue, delicious. Overpriced

start with 1 star for decor. upon opening the door it seemed like we entered a mountain hut. nice. Last Saturday (feb. 1, 2020) evening & i took my daughter & my mother to Au Chalet looking forward to a charming dinner of raclette served in a tradition style i.e., melted top of half wheel of cheese scrapped over one's dinner plate. what we got was completely ripped off. our dinner, if one can call it that, consisted of a small arugula only salad (nicely dressed, but boring), 3 slices of only ! style of salami with 3 cornichons (pickles) atop, pre-sliced raclette cheese & boiled potatoes. hardly charcuterie for $24 per plate. these potatoes were boiled perfectly; however, totally lacking any seasoning... while this maybe classic as a dinner entree in Switzerland ....a bore stateside. salt & pepper perhaps an herb? also, during my research before heading there i read reviewed: great assortment of beers (only 4 listed & was told that they only had Leffe, which i had), 1 picture showed a fine assortment of charcuterie and another shown a proper melting system... we were given a toaster oven to cook our own pre-sliced cheese... looking like the same raclette one can pick-up at Trader Joe's for $5.99 per half pound. i could've made this same thing at home for a total of $10 for the 3 of us, not $72. with my beer & 1 glass of wine i walked out paying over $100 with tip (why i did tip i don't know)... not much or average for a typical dinner: however, this was robbery. ending with 1 star for decor. saddened.

It was a delightful dinner of cheese! I'd add another $ to the listing as it was $25/person for fondue. Add a bottle of wine and it makes for a delicious meal. We had the shallots. I would highly recommend this as your destination for anything fondue. A shining example of fonduage!

The menu is basic - fondue and raclette. the food was good - but perhaps a bit overpriced. More concerning - the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night. Will it survive.

This restaurant has first-rate service as well as delightful meals. One of the best place in the area. The meals arrived fast and the rates were reasonable. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

This a a restaurant that seems to serve fondue etc. at dinner but crepes only at lunch? And there is a related crepe restaurant next door? And did not let us know there was wine available until we asked? In any case the crepes were pretty good although the brown color (traditional we gathered) was a little off putting for starters.
