It was such a cute spot for drinks perfect for a girls night out. We sat in an adorable both that was very comfortable. The truffle guys are delicious and there was a long menu for unique cocktails. We will definitely be back.
They kept the kitchen open for us to order and we stayed later than closing time. Staff accommodated everything.

Nice spot for drinks, their Japanese old-fashioned is different! Purists may not approve but I was curious.Visited them once while on the way back from a race in Charlemont, MA.We were lucky to be seated at a high top without a wait around 5pm before it became too busy. Service was friendly and helpful.Aside from the Japanese old fashioned, we tried their truffle fries which came in a big serving size.Bathrooms looked nice with just 1 oddity being the seat wouldn’t seem to stay up on the toilet which led to, presumably, the prior male occupant having difficulties aiming ?
Easily one of my favorite places in New Haven. The food is consistently delicious.
I went to the place during the day to inquire about accommodation for a group party during the day, door was open and man was behind the bar, no reason to think I’d be crossing any boundaries, was met by a huge dog and a man aggressively saying “you can’t come in” then he came to the front window and just scowling.Not a good experience. What was the profile? Still people that have a business serving the community indiscriminately should be nice.
Drinks. Phenomenal. Meal. Flawless. Service. Perfection. 116 crown is killin’ it.
Food was ok but not great (and at $30+ a plate I expect better food), small menu, service wasn't great: wasn't that busy but took a long time to get water, silverware, drinks, food etc, waiter was very nervous so must have been new but he had zero support from other staff. Nice ambiance, great cocktails, maybe will just come back for drinks in the future.
No matter how big or small the occasion, we still find the atmospheric design, diverse crowd, avant-garde cocktails, great food, professional servers and fun, personable owner at 116 Crown combine for a brand of good time that never goes out of style. Go!
