Great service and food, Mezcal margarita was A++. But…. It’s wildly expensive. $23 appetizers. My margarita was $20. I’ll definitely go back but not often. I ordered the Carne Asada - huge portions of rice, beans, and tortillas with a perfectly grilled steak. Awesome presentation.
Decided to grab lunch with the wife. Service was slow the food is seriously overpriced and was just awful. Started with a paper french fry dish with a hand full of tortilla chips and 2 small plastic condiment cups one with bean dip the other with awful salsa. Should have known from the beginning this was not going to be good. Large portions of tasteless food. Wife only had one bite. No one ever asked how it was just if we needed a box. I had Carne Asada $23.95 (pile of tasteless rice with thin shaved steak that tasted like grill grease, re fried beans) Wife had polo a la crema $22.95 ( chicken bits raw onions and peppers, fried rice floating in cheese sauce), 2 cokes and 2 un-sweet ice teas $ 16.00 didn't realize no refills and $4.00 each for a coke served in plastic cups. Total bill was $64.79 plus tip. I also think the total was not correct. no matter how I add it up it come out less than what I paid. Please there are many Mexican Restaurants in the area that are much better and much more affordable.
Very poor service. We were a table of 10 (totally understand that that is a large group). The restaurant was half empty during the duration of our meal. Took the waitress a long time to finally come over and take our drink orders. She took half the table’s orders, said she’d be right back, and promptly walked over to the table next to us to take their drink orders. She came back 20+ minutes later with the half of the table’s drinks and the other table’s drinks and disappeared again. Came back 10+ minutes later to take the rest of our table’s drink orders. Was annoying, but no big deal. 8 people at our table ordered their own entrees and 2 people shared an entree. The 2 informed the waitress when ordering that they would be sharing and she said nothing about it. But then, when the check arrived, there was an extra $4.95 charge. When we asked about it, we were told that it was for sharing the entree (even though it was the exact same amount of food as if one person ordered it and they didn’t have to split it onto two separate plates - the 2 shared the same plate). We protested because the charge was not disclosed on the menu and the waitress didn’t tell us about it when we ordered and told her it would be shared. They still refused to remove the charge. We paid and left. Upon closer inspection of the receipt later, we noticed that they actually charged us two of these $4.95 fees (not sure why the second if the reason for the first was a shared entree) PLUS 8 (that’s right, EIGHT) $5 “food order” fees ON TOP OF THE COST OF THE FOOD AND DRINKS WE HAD ORDERED. That’s just under $50 in undisclosed fees that they apparently hoped we wouldn’t notice (and almost didn’t). These people are stealing from their customers and I would strongly encourage anyone who has had a similar experience to report them to the Better Business Bureau.
Very friendly service, and a nicely decorated restaurant. However, my food had clearly been sitting for a while when I picked it up, because it was cold. (I arrived earlier than the specified time I was told that the food would be ready.)
Staff is friendly but the food is not the best. The consistency of the guacamole is terrible, doesn’t taste like actually guac, reminds me of bagged guac old at the grocery stores. When asking for side salsa they don’t mentioned you will be charged for a side of salsa. We spent more money than we actually needed to and the food was terrible. Let’s me not forget they served raw chicken tenders.
I love Mexican food; For me it is a culture with a lot of flavor and variety; my first time here;first we had to wait for long time to be served; the presentation of the dish was looking good; but no flavor; the food was tasteless; is better the food joints on the street than this restaurant; It is not worth the price, it is very expensive for the quality of food; totally disgusted; I will not return and I do not recommend it to anyone.
If your ever near this place and craving Mexican Food you should definitely come to Mexico Tipco. The food was AMAZING, and it came quickly. I loved it!! I went on a Sunday, and apparently every Sunday a youth mariachi band plays there. Great service the waiters and waitress great you as you come in and sit down. It's amazing I also love the decor inside its beautiful. I totally recommend!
Let's begin with the good. The decor of the place is beautiful and cozy(5*), the service is also good(4*) , now Let's talk about the food.Dish: CARNE ASADA Y CAMARONES I asked for medium well, when I got my dish the steak was cold and charred, we also ordered a GUACAMOLE, which we were told that it was made earlier and we agreed to have it but when we got it it smelled like if it was drowned in cumin and as you all know there should be no cumin in Guacamole, next dish was TACOS DE CARNITA,out of the 3 tacos that came with the order, 2 tacos were good, there was one taco that the pork was completely solidified, it was very hard, it felt as if it was left outside throughout the winter, this is why the food has "0" stars.
Beautiful atmosphere and the food amazing although it could be served a little warmer but Nicole was an amazing server. Very attentive and super sweet! The portion sizes are more than we expected so overall I’d say it’s a great place and would definitely be back. Hopefully they have the mariachis that allegedly are there every Sunday but didn’t show up the Sunday we were there
Waste of money. First the give us a little paper cup of chips and an ounce of salsa in a plastic dippy thing. For 2 people that’s ridiculous. Then when.asked for chicken and beef in the taco salad was told cannot do it.. why not just charge extra for it. My bean soup was watery I was expecting a thicker base of soup.Had to flag down a worker to get our waitress. Way overpriced for the quality here. No thank you !
