I placed an order through door dash. I ordered a single and chicken tenders with fries. We never received a burger and when we tried to call the restaurant was closed. I ate two tenders but my boyfriend but into his and immediately realized it was raw. I’m sick from the idea of possibly eating something raw. I understand the order was placed towards closing time yet doordash never made it known that closing was soon.. I won’t be ordering again..
At the time I went it was super busy and there was a wait. The staff were upfront with how long the wait would be, about 20-30 minutes. When I did get my food it was delicious. Had the buffalo chicken tenders and fries. It's a small place inside, they also have seating outside. On a nice day I could see myself dinning outside.
It's never a good sign when the staff are confused on what the safe temperature of chicken is....The chicken tenders were some how burnt, under done, and absolutely dripping in oil. The fried pickles weren't so much fried as small gooey oil pucks. All this disgusting food only set me back $15...for two tiny trays of inedible garbage. Avoid this wayback burger...go somewhere else or at least to one with staff that can cook.Edit to respond to owners response: It wasnt surface oil, there was so much oil I could have brought it home and refried them in my own pan...pools of oil...
We dropped in for a quick bite, we found the staff to be sooooooo helpful, accommodating and friendly! We were especially impressed. We observed this kindness being expressed to all. Veronica and Angel are top-notch. If I could offer awards and/or raises, they’d get the best of the best!
Super friendly service! They had my order ready within seven minutes on a busy dinner rush. The burger was juicy and delicious! The fries were perfectly crispy, since they cooked every order fresh, I asked them to make the fries extra crispy and they had no problems with that! I tried the new brownie milkshake which was amazing, you can taste the pieces of brownie in the shake and get a big bite of brownie at the top. The portions are huge and the fresh food is worth the price and the drive! Even during the dinner rush, nothing was precooked. They made everything in front of me after I ordered which is very impressive. Nothing beats eating fresh food and this was cheaper than the five guys down the road that I usually go to so win-win. Better food and cheaper prices than Five guys!
I have been here three times and there is only one reason to keep coming back, awesome burgers. The double patty classic beef burger with strawberry milkshake is the winner for me. Throw in the friendly owners and you have the favorite joint to eat. Whenever I am in Middletown I make sure I grab a burger for me and my family. Highly recommend this place.
I absolutely love coming to Wayback burgers! Always have a wonderful experience, staff and food is amazing !! Angela is so friendly and seems like a very hard worker! She is always so great with my young daughter, gets our order out quick, we feel very welcomed there! New owners are doing excellent job! I recommend to everyone who’s looking for delicious food !
The cashier was very polite. Then one of the workers came out the rest room looking like she take some type of drug or she was under the influence of something. She didn't wash her hands or put on gloves, also she didn't wear a hair net. The fish sandwich was small and black not sure if they change their oil regularly. My spicy chicken sandwich was extra small it's was more bread and sauce then chicken. The only thing that was good was the fries and the drink. It was a big disappointment for us.
Visited during the Christmas Eve and the place was packed. We were very happy with the fast service and the food was brought to us like a full service restaurant! The burgers were fresh off the grill and the fries were made fresh too. I tried this brownie milkshake which was delicious. Overall, a great place to stop by for good food and fast/friendly service. People working there were very pleasant and working very hard! Price for food was very fair and they deserved the extra tip for their amazing service.
Having the Halal alternatives is what brought me and my friends here and we were very satisfied! One of the servers, Veronica, was super helpful and energetic and made me feel right at home (and I'm from Miami!). My friends and I will be coming back to this location very soon!!
