The food is hot, flavorful and appetizing looking when you get it. The portions are decent for the price. Though the decor is completely dated, the place always looks clean. It's typical of a quick pick up joint.
My daughter said that it was the best fish & chips and I agree. I had the shrimp and it was spiced beautifully!
Over spiced Jamaican food. I had a jerk chicken it was so hot and spicy my mouth burned when taking a drink of my water. When your meal is over priced the worst is when someone thinks it's cute to make a dish unbearable to eat. I saw it wasn't busy at lunch time and should had stayed away

Good sized portions, got a small jerk chicken dinner and it's stuffed to the top of the container. Very good fish and chips as well.
Jerked chicken is fantastic!! It has just the right amount of spiciness to taste as you're eating it. It will leave your lips tingling and your nose runny a bit haha. But that's a sign that it was really good, yet not overly spicy/hot. You are getting a large serving of real bone-in chicken here that's cooked perfectly and is really tender and moist. The rice, cabbage and plantains are just as plentiful of a serving and perfect complement to the jerked chicken. For an authentic jerked chicken meal you'd be hard pressed to find a better place in CT. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

Good food, large portions, Wednesday they give you a large for the price of a medium. Drink prices are a little steep but overall the best Jamaican restaurant in town, I think the only one in town. Plus the deliver without the hassle of Grub Hub or Uber Eats.
First time I tried their food, was last year around late spring. I went with a lobster roll with a side of fries. Loved it very much. Second time I had it was sometime earlier this year. I went with Clam Strips w/ Fries and a Beef Patty after one of my managers let me try one. Loved both the food but felt a bit sick afterwards. I’d still recommend this restaurant if anyone’s in the Middletown area.
