I thought I was going to get a corporate non authentic taco joint and what I found was an authentic Mexican Gem. However, this authentic may not be for everyone. I personally wasn't enamored with the ground beef, however, ground beef isn't necessarily authentic for a Mexican restaurant, at least not the way I like my ground beef. The al pastor was top notch, and the pork stomach was good for pork stomach. The salsa was outstanding and the homemade red hot sauce was, as they warned, very super hot. Go here to experience authentic Mexican food.
When you have to have the absolute BEST tacos in Meriden, call Mr. Taco and get the "Mr. TACO SPECIAL" the people are always friendly and the place is very clean.
I was so excited to eat at mr taco but received the worst treatment it ruined my day. I was denied my SERVICE DOG which is against the law and they made me stand outside for my food. My dog is approved by the state to be let in anywhere I go bc of my condition and they denied me to even enter bc of allergies ppl may have to dogs, she’s hypoallergenic which I explained and they still denied me.
Food was ok I had to ask for a fresh water I had a fly on my water ? the Waitress was not attentive at all after eating had to wait a good 25 minutes to see if she will give me my bill I end up getting up and paying on the front myself Horrible customer service ?♀️ Definitely not better then taco mi nacho
Amazing! Hands down the best Mexican food around. I been here a few times and it never fails, service is always good and the food is always delicious. Danny was our server and he was very attentive. When I asked for extra chips and what other salsas they had he brought out all the flavors ? I am a happy customer and will be returning very soon.
My first time there was on Mother’s Day and I never had tacos this amazing!! Omg I keep telling my husband I want to go back!! The drinks are absolutely out of this world.. omg that strawberry mojito hits everytime!! I been recommending this place to everyone I come across.. definitely going back on my next day off!! So authentic and rustic! Such a home feel..
After not eating all day I was very disappointed after I got my pastor tacos the meat was so dry hard over cooked cold and I literally almost broke my tooth on the hard tortilla when ur running a business u really need to do better its not like ur at home and it doesn't matter u need to make ur customers want to come back for more and I'm definitely a regular customer and this has been happening alot lately I'm not saying ur gonna lose me as a customer because I will definitely make plenty of orders in the future ,just need to do better
The best Tacos I have had in my life, every time, and everyone I bring with me just loves the food and the drinks, if you are looking for a great affordable meal, please don't miss out on this restaurant.The Birria Tacos are to die for.
Updated from 5 stars to 2. Says open til 8pm on Sunday. Drove from 25 mins away for takeout and arrived at 7pm. Doors were locked with people still ordering and dining inside...new sign on door saying closed 7pm on Sundays. No bueno
First visit and I had the fish burrito. Absolutely delicious ?. Wasn't greasy at all. Wrapped perfectly. Also had a Malta. Perfect combination. Service was great ?! I will be back.
