I called to make reservations for 6 at 3:30 pm. Was told none needed. Our waitress was so informative and patient and extremely attentive with a bit of dry wit thrown in the mix.The food was delicious . We enjoyed every bit of our repast. I will return. The mussel appetizer is huge.A must go to restaurant. A huge 6 thumbs up from all of us.
We dined in and the pizza took almost an hour. My husband had to walk to the front and ask where was our pizza. The wings were good. I usually go here when I'm in Meriden for pizza. But the pizza today was different. It wasn't thin and crispy like it usually is.
Been many years since I was here. When I worked in Meriden, this was a good place for lunch. Anyhow, looking for something different, so decided I would try and introduce to my wife. As it has been many years, I was a bit concerned, but we were seated somewhat quickly, and my wife was pleasantly surprised at the menu options. We went direct to ordering the main courses, and my wife decided on the eggplant parmigiana, but was concerned it might have the skin on. I went with lobster ravioli. After some time (not that long even though it was very busy), our dinners arrived. Side note, the bread for the table is excellent. My wife immediately checked for the skin, but not issue. Her first bite and she was amazed (her words). The sauce was excellent also. My lobster ravioli was perfect, with a great sauce. I finished the entire plate, as it was the best I have had I a while. (Helped I didn't each lunch) my wife was not able to finish as the portions are hugh, but she is looking forward to having the leftovers. Simply put, great food and we will be back. Adding to our list of restaurants we frequent.
I have never had a bad meal here. No matter if it's pizza or an entree, you will enjoy your meal. I only wish they had cherry peppers instead of jalapeños for the pizza
We were in town from the Springfield area for the lantern festival. We got the largest calamari I have ever seen. Light breading, allowing the taste of the calamari to shine. Love the crust on the pizza. Our 9 year kept saying he was “in heaven” and told the owner it was worth the drive. Pasta dishes were delicious. Staff was attentive and friendly.
It has been many years since I last visited Lido's in Meriden. Portions were large and plentiful, food quality was good and I would recommend the food. Interior was dated and could use an update. Service was outstanding.
I haven't been here in a while, this is my first time back in a few years and the food is still just as good as it was when I left
We went in on New Years Eve ordered a $150+ order and they had the nerve to tell us they were too busy to make an Eggplant Marsala dish for a vegan (and they have made it twice in the past with no issues). Let me add that they have been busier in the past and still did it. Disgusting and Unacceptable!
Service was excellent. Salad was very good, my entree (clams in a white sauce over linguini) was excellent and my wife and mother in law both got the lobster ravioli and were very happy with that. The portions were so large that all three of us had take home containers for lunch the next day. Reasonable prices made for a pleasurable experience.
Really good food. Great service and it's affordable. The menu is typical Italian but they offer a big variety of veal dishes as well. It's beer or wine only, no liquor.
