Cheeseburgers are meant to be steamed!! First time having a steamed cheeseburger and I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s prepared best steamed.. I’ve had burgers everywhere I go and this is on the top 10 list all time … might be top 5

When taking a chance on a local burger place sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. WINNER! Fat burger topped with sharp cheddar, on a fantastic roll. Not a place with a lot of bells and whistles, but if your looking for a great burger, you'll get a great burger here.
I know I'm way late to the party, & this place has been around for the last several years or so & I have always wanted to check it out, & and today I did, went in for food for my grandmother & myself, & they even signed gram's burger on the foil with "Grandma", she got a kick out of it, Shawn/Sean, was an awesome counter server, the cook was great as well, they both got tipped equally, no favoritism, lol. For my first time today, it was a great experience, & may have found my next new spot, btw, double burgers were a great size, would've took a picture, but as soon as I opened the foiled, I SMASHED THEM, like an animal, lol, if you haven't been there & have been late to the party like I have, go check them out. Tell Shawn Warren "G" sent you, lol.
Great service and food. Never had a steamed burger. Very soft almost like meatloaf.
Probably my favorite steamed cheeseburger in the state. Friendly staff. I always wished there was a little more meat for the single. The rolls are always fresh and, although I've heard complaints that the buns are too big, I think that little extra is perfect to catch the cheese that inevitably wants to squeeze out while eating. Always a stop when I'm in the area!
Ok so I visited here then went to Ted's.KLaMays cheese is sharper than Teds. The burger is smaller. The hard roll was fresh. In my opinion Ted's tastes better.
As a Meriden native, Ted's is the gold standard, always has been. That being said, better check your rear view mirror Ted, there's a new guy coming up!
The burger was pretty good. The cheese and fresh toppings made it great. We also got the cheesy fries, which used the same cheese as the burger. Would definitely eat here again.
