Avanti's is a little gem in South Meriden. They offer classic Italian cuisine from pizzas to Chicken or Veal Marsala to lobster ravioli. You can even get a bowl of spaghetti and a large meatball if you'd like. After hours you can visit the pub next door. Great place to visit, and then visit again.
Traditional Italian dishes remind me of my grandmothers cooking. Feel good Italian food that never disappoints.

Scallops were low ratedService was mediocreWaitress promised unseasoned potatoes, never came through with them.After dinner was served, she offered a baked potato, but we would have to wait 10 minutes.DON’T THINK WE WILL BE BACK !!!So much for Valentines Dinner.
The food is always excellent. The service for Valentines Day was not great which was disappointing.

Good Food Server Was Very Nice Although we Came in Later (Hr Before Closing) Server kind Of Messed up Order but was 50/50 due to Communication error But always Good Experience Otherwise.
We walked in as three vegetarians and didn't see much on the menu, so we asked our waitress and she told us she could make us anything we wanted. We concocted pasta dishes with all kinds of vegetables and vodka sauce, and they were DELICIOUS. So kind, so accommodating, and a heart-warming amount of food. Thank you, Avanti, you were awesome!
