The food here was absolutely amazing. However the customer service was not. The main reason we came here was because they promoted hookah and hookah at brunch. When we first asked if they had any they said no. It took my friend to go up to them and ask why they promote it but don’t sell it for them to bring any out, and it took almost 30 minutes for them. We waited about 15 minutes for our drinks despite being the only ones there. After the food was brought out we waited another 25-30 minutes for the waitress to come and check to make sure our food was okay. My friends steak was cooked rare even though she asked for it medium rare WHICH is no problem that’s an easy fix. However they just put the same steak on the grill and served it back to her well done. After she asked for a new steak they said they can’t because she already cut through which makes no sense. Then she charged my friend twice for the same receipt because she didn’t know how to use the machine that takes the credit card. Mind you this whole time we were the ONLY ones there for a good 2.5 hours. Great food, horrible service.
This Saturday 3/12/22 I and my family wanted to go out and have a great time. We are not of Spanish descent but that of African American. Which in any case should not really matter. But at this particular place it seems to matter to at-least one person and unfortunately the person I am referencing is a woman security guard that works the front door. She seems to be of Spanish descent herself. But moreover, this is the second time I and my family choose to visit. And Both times we have shown up ready to experience a good time, this seems to always be the case. We ( I and my family) all would be approaching the entrance and she ( woman Spanish security guard) would see us approaching and screams “ we are now at maximum capacity. So therefore we are not allowing anyone else in.” This is our first night visiting 1/31/2021and she said this, I and my family were so disappointed but we took it for face value and were about to leave. But shortly after her making that statement, she had walked away from the entrance to tend to something else so another security guard came to cover and he told us that we may enter. I thought that peculiar especially being that we were previously told we may not enter by her literary a minute ago. But nevertheless I was grateful. So we entered that night, and had a great time. And because we had such a great time, we decided to revisit. Now this is our second time visited 3/13/22 and we were approaching the door and oddly enough the same woman was guarding the entrance and shouted the same exact thing from before(our first visit). “ we are now at maximum capacity. So therefore we are not allowing anyone else in.” I and my family we so disappointed AGAIN, to hear this but we were going to leave taking it for face value. As I turned to walk away, don’t as me why, but I turned back to the door only to hear and see this. The same woman security guard that sent I and my family away with claims that the bar was at maximum capacity was shouting to what looked like two Spanish men “ hurry up, hurry up”. After she said this, I witnessed these two men running towards the entrance and she let them in. I immediately ran back to the entrance after witnessing her allow others into the bar because I assumed that things may have changed but she closed the door in my face. So I proceeded to tap on the door demanding an explanation. But she looked at me through the tinted glass door and smiled and never approached to explain anything. At this point I and my family felt highly discriminated against and upset. We went back to the car and as we were driving past the bar we then saw the same woman allowing other people in, all of which seemed to be from Spanish descent. I cannot believe this happened and to whom ever the owner is, I hope is able to read this review and moving forward be on the look out for the people he or she chooses to guard the front entrance. It is not how business should be ran and definitely not how people should be treated.
I never expect impecable customer service at Peruvian restaurants in the northeast, but it is always nice to be reminded of how things can get a new low. This establishment looks like it’s falling apart. Paint off the walls, tables that look like someone forgot to clean after their customer left hours ago. An incredibly, poorly maintained restroom and getting asked if things are going well with our meal, 29 minutes after the food was brought to the table, despite being the only customers in the entire place. Also, we did not know there was a pool table. Open to anybody, it seems. Party music and quite the lively atmosphere will make you forget how regrettable coming to this place was. Or not.Ps:I wish Google will give one the option to give zero stars. And I’m also Peruvian, born and raised.
The environment was great in a Friday night. Latinx music was playing. Make sure you bring cash for cover at the entrance.
The customer service was awful, some of the food was good but the jalea and other dishes were not fresh, we came for a party and the ac was on we were freezing they didn’t care and gave us a cheap excuse I do not recommend it.
Best. Bar. Ever! My bartender Jose killed it and really enjoyed it can't wait to go back next time I'm in town.
This past Saturday we put my granddaughter to rest and I could not find a place for the reception so my friend called Martin and he was kind enough to let us use his place ..we want to say thank you so much for the awesome service we got .. the food was amazing the place is clean and the staff was awesome..
