Excellent food. Very nice staff. My new favorite. The Ramen and Korean fried chicken are top tier.
This is probably the best Korean style fried chicken place in Connecticut. Absolutely loved every piece of it. I’ve dined in for dinner as well and got bulgogi, which was super yummy. The family running the business is super friendly and attentive.
I ordered online for pickup and it was ready within the short 10-15min walk and a few minutes wait. It was definitely a better choice to dine in. My dish had so much seafood in it that I could barely finish the whole thing. The shrimps were small but there was abundance. There were mussels and squid too. Or octopus. I couldn’t tell the difference. I don’t eat it a lot ?Our experience was great. The food was a little on the expensive side but I’m glad there was a lot of meat in it for the price.
I mean I guess you shouldn't really go to a Korean restaurant to grab Burgers and Fries but then again I thought it was an Unwritten rule that the burger should match the size of the bun if not maybe slightly over like one's feet underneath the bed sheets S I don't understand how to Burgers and Fries with one Budweiser tap and one pina colada came to over $40 the Pina Colada had no alcohol in it perhaps we should have got some type of ramen but still 40 something dollars for some burgers that was like White Castle size is unsettling...
We were looking for a place to eat breakfast on a Saturday morning and could not find much open. Happened upon Sunberry and really happy we did! Great service, hot cooked breakfast, and great price. I got the croissant turkey sandwich which was delicious--not greasy or anything like that. Would return for lunch since the Korean menu looked great but we were leaving town.I work just down the street so I'm probably at Sunberry at least once a week if not more. Their sandwiches and burgers are delicious but I also frequently get their ramen. It is tasty and flavorful and so warming on a cool day! Chicken tan tan is my favorite. Their bibimbab is also very tasty.A friend and I took a walk at lunch time to find a smoothie ... we happened on this place. Really super fresh food, wide array of choices, and really helpful staff. We had ramen bowls with delicious broth and super fresh veggies, a delicious veggie-protein drink, and bubble tea. This place will definitely be on our rotation. The menu has a lot of interesting things to try. I highly recommend Sunberry Cafe.Fighly recommended.
Updated. Decent spot in Hartford for Korean food. Since I have been to other Korean restaurant I have to say that the portions are small for the price (must be the location overhead cost) $18 for my plate. I expected the beef to taste grilled instead of just cooked. There's no charred taste to it. The food taste is good. I guess the portion size makes reference the fact they they are called a café instead of a restaurant. I think just a bit overpriced overall. Den Den in Providence remains the best Korean food without question. See Den Den photo added for comparison. After seeing the owners feedback to my review..I read other people's reviews here and they are pretty close to mine. To the owners, take the feedback from your customers as its meant to be, a reason to improve not give push back. If you want better reviews do better. That's what feedback is for. The food/restaurant business is extremely competitive and those who receive great reviews deliver great food and service to earn them.
Disappointing food but good customer service.I came on a Saturday afternoon for lunch with my husband and my mother.I order the $18 BBQ beef bulgolgi dish. I mean, look at the pictures! One is of the dish before I started eating. The other one is after eating half of it. Does it look like there is anything barbecued? If anything, it was a sorry-looking, soggy plate full of noodles and veggies with, honestly, a minimal amount of any discernible animal meat. Also, the premises are quite shabby. The bathroom was located in the building behind and was full of old machinery and wooden furniture to be repaired. One star for flavour, one star for speedy arrival of the order and one star for customer service. The waitress was very attentive and thoughtful. In summary, not the best experience in terms of the food and I do not recommend.
Great food and good service will definitely go back
Very good Korean restaurant in Pratt street downtown area. I love their spicy ramen noodles (with a choice of vegetables or meat with few extra bucks). Their Korean sweet soy garlic chicken fries are also great.
Great place for Korean food ?, we had bibimbap, bogolgi, noodles, and kimchie pancake, delicious.
